Sean delivered the best first aid training that I have ever had from both a work setting and 3rd sector voluntary situation and that is over more than 40 years in my case. He was both knowledgeable and engaging and made the 7 hours with him fly by! I would absolutely recommend Sean and his company to anyone who is looking to update their own knowledge of first aid.

Great day on a contour-only navigation workshop with CPS Activities. Instructor was knowledgeable, very skilled at teaching and making sure all participants understood each part of the training. Ample opportunity for practice and consolidation of skills learned during the session and for asking questions/seeking clarification. Sean is an experienced mountain leader who was very passionate about sharing his vast experience with the students who attended the course. From the outset he put us all at ease with his relaxed teaching style that made for a great learning experience. He was very patient and always willing to help and answer my questions. I have been hillwalking for several years, yet I learned so much from Sean in terms of keeping myself safe on the hills and interpreting the landscape and weather conditions. I also learned how to navigate correctly and I can honestly say that my map and compass skills improved 100% over the two days.I am due to start my Hill and Moorland Leader course in the near future and being tutored by Sean has helped my preparation enormously.

Fantastic contour and night nav session in the Pentlands with Sean. Sean was super helpful, explained things very clearly and provided a very varied, interesting and useful session.

Spent a great day in the Pentlands learning basic navigation skills from Sean. The day was very informative, not only about navigation but also included lots of tips for hillwalking and safety. We had a map reading/navigation Sean with course a few weeks ago.From start to finish Sean was very professional, informative and has a friendly manner.The course was well structured and and no point did you feel out of your depth, due to the relaxed teaching manner.With more and more people heading out onto the hills, this is one course that you should invest in.I am looking for ward to flying solo with Seans newly imparted information firmly in my mind.

I joined CPS Activities Hill Walking Skills two day course last weekend. I grew up in the Highlands and love walking in the hills but needed training in map reading and navigation, and strategies and skills to keep me and my partner safe especially if bad weather conditions suddenly appear when up on higher ground. Sean is an excellent leader and coach with a wealth of knowledge and experience which he freely shares. I am in my 70s and was a bit concerned about spending full days out on the hills in varied weather conditions, but Sean set an easy pace for us while coaching us in essential personal skills. This is very much a hands on practical course, learning on the job as you walk through the Pentlands and I can thoroughly recommend it.
