Arley Railway Station (SVR)

Peaceful and tranquil little station on the severn valley railway. Ideal to spend some quality time and enjoy trains passing

Arley Station is a beautiful, country station close to Bewdley which takes you back in time as soon as you pass through the gates. There is a small coffee shop which is open when the railway is running a full timetable. It is also one of the stations which is used for the Halloween special trains

Very photogenic on a bright sunny day, station house adorned with potted flowers . Period accoutrements on the platform and station yard . On site cafe serves drinks and cream teas (very nice). Second hand railway books for sale. No on site parking. Next to a bridge for photos of the trains. Standing next to low frequency growling power of the diesel engines is quite an experience.

Quaint little station on Severn Valley railway, nice bridge over the track is a good vantage point for photos. Short walk down the road to the village and nice views of the river

Ah this is one of the best countryside stations there is on the SVR. I just love it. It’s like time stood still here. This is England at its best. Just go and see it. You won’t be disappointed. Park either at Arley and cross the footbridge walk past the pub and up the hill. You cannot drive to it from Arley. You can from Poundbank though.

Beautiful little station along the Severn Valley Railway. The staff were really helpful and friendly and it was lovely to sit there admiring the steam locomotives and imagining I had been transported back to an earlier, more relaxed time.

One if my favourite SVR railway stations, love the walk from the Riverside carpark in Arley over the footbridge past the pub and up the hill to the station. There's a small gift shop and take away kiosk with pretty gardens to sit in. The 1940 weekends are really good and lots to see

At Arley, Highley & Hampton Loade – Parking is very limited at these countryside stations. We do not recommend that disabled visitors park at these stations.The Engine House, Highley – Designated bays are situated in front of The Engine House. The entrance to the Visitor Centre is adjacent. These bays are suspended during certain special events. Access from the Station from the trains is via a 150 yard path.Assistance DogsWe recognise that that these dogs provide assistance not only for the sight impaired but also for those with hearing loss, epilepsy, diabetes, physical mobility problems and more.Assistance dogs are welcome in our restaurants and public houses, on our trains and at the Visitor Centre at Highley. We also welcome Assistance Dogs in training providing they are accredited as such. Assistance Dogs (and those in training) travel free on our trains.

A beautiful well preserved station on the Severn valley railway line. The volunteers have done an amazing job of keeping this gem of a place looking as it is! Some fabulous old signs dotted everywhere and it's how life used to be before this modern rubbish took over. They do special events like 40's day and the Christmas train so always check out the events page. A bygone era that is being kept alive in a splendid fashion!! Toilets and cafe on site with a little gift shop. Plenty of benches to eat and drink and a great view is to be had from the bridge as the steam trains roll on by. Just a stones throw away from the local pub / river / Post office. We should treasure these for ever as we build more and more horrible same old towns and housing estates in the UK! Well down the volunteers true unsung heroes!
