Unbelievable incompetence, power tripping traffic marshals, avoid at all costs if you can. Legitimately the worst border crossing we’ve experienced in our lives.

Hy! I am Romanian but I will write in english so everyone can understand! I had 2 transports that needed to be cleared there. The first one had no LRN in the papers so I needed to check with my office for one. After that, all was good and I left the site within 30 - 40 minutes. The second transport had everything and I also had a reservation which also gives you priority, so I left the site within 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful all the way. So... for those who had problems there, I am truly sorry! But for me, everything went perfectly. If I will encounter problems, I will make sure to post them here as well. All the the best and drive safe !

One of the worst experiences of our lives. Kept here for hours with no communication. We were called in for no reason. Then sent back and called in again for no reason and then sent back again this went on for about an hour. We then needed to get some food and water and was told we was not allowed to leave the lorry Park. You don’t have any water or food for the drivers if they are delayed, I was happy to pay for the food and water that was. It my issue. I was told that if I wanted water I should use the tap in the toilet to provide my drink.This place needs to have a re think in its operations, I asked the staff last weekend how many staff are there in total and there was over 250 people for just 1 lorry in the whole site last weekend. The staff in yellow at the entrance to the customs are supposed to be security, and they are not even that great at pretending to be security guards, I would not trust these people to guard the grass let alone a government site. This is worrying!What a shambolic waste of money.

Typical of the British, to employ 10,000 people to do a job for which the French employ 10. Oh yes the 10 French do it ten times faster as well. At least they where all polite and helpful while the system dragged on.
