Louise West is the best! Louise absolutely partnered with us (despite my microplanning habits) for a fabulous three days in Cornwall. We couldn't have asked for more - one of our best local guides ever!

Louise was a superb guide for our first visit together to Cornwall! Her expert knowledge of the history, culture, flora and fauna of the area was fabulous. We fell in love with the whole region. In addition, Louise is the most helpful, hospitable and thoughtful person you could meet! We felt a genuine connection with her right from the start of our tour. The tea and cream scones were a delicious and memorable treat! I could go on with praise for Louise but suffice it to say that this was one of the best tours we have had and we have traveled a lot more than most people. Louise was an amazing guide! Greeting us warmly with a big smile each of our 3 days with her. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and fun personality made our trip to Cornwall so special. She brought us to many well known and lesser known magical places, sharing historical & fanciful stories of each spot that we would have never realized on our own. Oh goodness, where to begin! We had two absolutely delightful days with Louise. She's full of energy, full of knowledge and just so wonderful to be around. She's native to the area and it really shows - she loves where she lives, loves what she does, and is an exceptional guide. Thanks to her, we learned fascinating tidbits about all of the places we visited (did you know that people used to surf on coffin lids in Cornwall? We didn't either!). We also ate delicious local specialties (pasties from a local butcher shop, fresh scones that she baked for us and prepared as part of a beautiful sunset picnic) and enjoyed a bespoke visit of some of the nicest spots in the region. Inspired by her, we even went surfing in St Ives! (Lou is an avid surfer and can tell you about all of the local surf culture). With Louise, you'll ride in comfort, make exceptional use of your time and see/learn things about Cornwall that you'd never pick up on your own. We saw Merlin's cave, visited the seals at Godrevy (she even thought to bring binoculars!), took in a play at the Minack Theatre, walked past Doc Marten being shot in Port Issac, and meandered through the tin mines made famous by the drama series, Poldark. Knowing that I'm really fond of cows, she also made plenty of stops for me to admire them. Since our visit, I've become enchanted with Gorse - a bright yellow flowering plant that smells of coconut that you'll see all over the Cornish countryside. Thanks to Louise, I learned that is used in locally produced chocolate and heavens is it good! Don't hesitate to book her for a memorable trip that will ignite all of your senses and likely be the start of a new friendship and many future trips to Cornwall.

Louise arrived to pick me up in gale force winds and rain storm with a huge smile on her face. Her positive attitude and great sense of humour created an amazing atmosphere as we experienced Cornwall together. Her infectious enthusiasm brought the history of Cornwall to life for me and it was hands down the best guided tour I have ever had! She was extremely flexible and open to exploring new things we discovered along the way, like the Wallace and Gromit animation exhibit at Lands End". Louise and Brett picked up our group of four in Shaftesbury for our transfer to Cornwall. On our way, we stopped at Stonehenge and at a great pub for lunch. They were both so enthusiastic, charming, and informative, and we almost immediately felt like old friends. We spent the next two days in Cornwall with Lou. Her warmth, knowledge, and love of the area were apparent every minute of our tour. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. We knew Cornwall would be the highlight of our trip, but she made it even better than expected. Thanks, Lou, for making our Cornwall experience one we will never forget!

This was an excellent experience. Louise went out of her way to meet our individual wishes, stay with us as we walked through places of interest, and celebrate the end of the day with Cornish cream tea.

Did the Fantasy North tour and Louise was positively wonderful! Walked us through all the sights at the various towns at a comfortable pace. Very engaging, forever smiling and the most pleasant disposition. Complete with her lovely homemade scones for a peaceful little picnic stop before heading back. What an absolutely Fabulous tour!! My wife and I did a 5 day tour with Experience Cornwall Tours in February 2023. Our guide Louise was knowledgeable, professional and thoughtful. Louise's passion for Cornwall was evident and her commentary was enlightening as she made the history and places come alive, with a great sense of humor.
