Utter heroes. Essential intelligence to keep you uncommonly well informed. Funny AF too. I wholeheartedly commend it to you.

Some of the headlines on their publication are so original they really make me laugh.Private Eye started life back in 1961 with Richard Ingrams. Willie Rushton, Christopher Booker and Peter Usborne.Later on Peter Cooke and Nicholas Luard funded it properly and it really took off.Private Eye are satirical, constantly jibe at politicians who often deserve it and other notable public figures. The current editor is Ian Hislop (who I used to see at the NatWest bank in Dean Street) who also often appears on TV.

I have been a subscriber since the 1980s. Worth every penny.

Private Eye is the best British satirical magazine and has been in business for more than 60 years which says enough. It exposed scandals and does not let politicians of any stripe off the hook. It always has thought provoking articles and some first class cartoons
