I wish I had read the reviews and avoided Glotech, the only reason they are getting 1 star is because it isn't possible to give zero.They didn't fix this issue despite the engineer being extremely confident that he knew the problem and charging me for expensive parts. For the visit to install the parts the engineer turned up 1.5 hours outside of the time slot with no calls to say he'd be late and no apology when he did turn up.So £200 later and having called their service centre, who really don't care that they haven't solved the problem provided you have paid them, I still don't have a working Dishwasher. The reason I am not going to pursue a refund is because based on other reviews it won't be successful and I have already wasted enough time on this company.

Your two boys Lee and Rob arrived this morning at 9.00 am.. delivered and installed the new dishwasher and took away the old one. Very swift work! Such lovely guys too. Also may I add an amazing service altogether by your company. This is the second time I have used your company and on both occasions very happy with the outcome. I know who I will be using in future! 5 star service!

I used Glotech for a repair to a dishwasher, they came out and said they’d done a temporary repair and it would need a part ordering in for permanent repair and they’d return - but the engineer took the money there and then. Later I came to my senses and realised their game and cancelled this part. 18 months later and the “temporary repair “ is still working perfectly, with daily usage. Be warned, they are out to swindle you and are clearly dishonest.If I ever need a repair of an appliance I’ll use anyone but Glotech.

I strongly advise against utilising the services provided by this particular company. The level of customer service provided is highly unsatisfactory, characterised by incompetence and an unwillingness to take accountability for their errors. Additionally, the engineers employed by this company exhibit a notable lack of skill in both the assessment and repair of jobs. To exemplify this, we have encountered three separate instances where engineers were dispatched. The initial engineer claimed to have resolved the issue, but informed Glotech the potential presence of a heating element problem. Furthermore, this engineer departed after inadvertently causing a fuse to blow. Subsequently, the second engineer attributed the problem to a faulty fuse and recommended an electrician for further assistance. However, the electrician asserted that the issue lied with the heating element. Consequently, we contacted customer service to request the dispatch of another engineer and to procure the part that the first engineer had indicated needed replacement. Regrettably, the third engineer arrived without the necessary part and proceeded to inform us that it had been ordered. This morning, when conversing with Lucy from customer service, she informed me that there were no records of our previous discussions regarding the required part. In an abrupt manner, she terminated the call whilst I was attempting to clarify the information that should have been documented. Astonishingly, we were then informed by another customer service representative, whom I had requested to order the part, that they were unable to do so until we paid an exorbitant sum of £300. Moreover, we were informed that the arrival of the part could potentially take up to two weeks. It is bewildering to comprehend that the engineer was dispatched without the necessary part, especially considering that the first engineer had already informed the company regarding its requirement.

Very unimpressed. The guy came an hour before the allotted time (thankfully he phoned first ...)More to the point, I had provided the error code, with a definition of what it meant, when booking the repair. The guy said he'd spoken to a colleague & was pretty sure he knew what the problem was. He emphasised that I had to pay for the call out (£90), & then told me there were no tests he could run & nothing he could do. He spent his whole time here establishing the cost of replacement parts (£577!) & that was it!Fair enough if there was nothing he could do - but Glotech had all the information they needed to tell me this at point of booking. There was absolutely no point in the call-out.Glotech responded to the negative review I posted on TrustPilot & I was hopeful of a refund. Pah!The next morning I received an email thanking me for my custom & 'hoping' that my machine was 'back to normal'. It suggested that now my machine was 'back up & running', I might want to protect my machine with them! I don't think so.When I complained about the inappropriateness of the message, I received the following:'Unfortunately, the labour fee of £89.94 that you have paid is not refundable, as the engineer did come out to your washing machine and diagnose the issue. However, I do apologise that you felt offended by our follow-up email. I understand that given we did not carry out a repair, the email was not suitable.'In fact, I had diagnosed the issue myself. And the engineer knew before he arrived that he would not be able to do anything, as I had told Glotech what the issue was. Why did he not tell me over the phone & cancel the call-out?I contracted with Glotech to provide a service - not just to visit my house! They provided none, but still charged me.My honest recommendation? Avoid this company.

Do not, under any circumstances, contribute any funds to this cone company.I contacted Glotech seeking assistance in repairing my washer/dryer. During my initial call, I explained the machine's issue in detail, providing all necessary information and registration numbers. I requested the cost of the required part, to which the representative quoted around one hundred pounds. Satisfied with the seemingly reasonable estimate, I proceeded to book the repair. On the scheduled day, the technician, who was meant to arrive between 8 and 1 pm, called at 1:15 pm, announcing a delay of an additional 1 hour and 45 minutes. When questioned about the lack of earlier notification, he provided a random excuse and eventually arrived two hours later.Upon entering my flat, he inspected the machine cursorily, inserted his finger, and sat down on the floor with his tablet. He proceeded to list the following prices: £250 for a new drum, £81 for a new door seal, and £72 for another component whose name escapes me. Furthermore, he claimed I needed a new heating device, bringing the total cost to over £750. Astonished, I expressed my reservations, prompting him to suggest purchasing a new machine from Glotech at a supposedly discounted rate, with a £25 deduction from today's charge.Skeptical, I insisted on seeking a second opinion. His response was hostility, insisting on collecting payment before leaving. I informed him that this was not part of the agreed-upon deal and that I would need to contact the office. I conveyed to the office representative that I would not pay £99 for a service that made no attempt to fix my machine and was not booked as a quote for £99. It became evident that this company is engaging in a scam, dispatching technicians to pressure customers into purchasing new appliances.

Not a reliable service provider. I attempted to use their services to repair a washing machine. In addition to the engineer not showing up on time for the repair, even after two visits from their engineers, the washing machine is still not working properly. They then shamelessly wanted to charge for another visit to assess the problem and 'fix' it. Their service is higly unprofessional and rude.

I would not recommend Glotech as trustworthy or competent for appliance repairs, based on very poor personal experience. There are many other companies who specialise in this field, and who believe in customer service as an integral part of their business, which unfortunately in my experience cannot be said of Glotech. I booked an engineer to come and look at my Zanussi dishwasher which, out of the blue, started beeping and not finishing its wash programme leaving the contents dirty. The engineer who came out had no idea what he was doing and admitted he was covering a colleague who was off sick, so we ended up both reading from the instruction booklet which came with the machine and all he did was re-set the machine according to the instruction advice. He did not check the drainage or any other part of the machine and was in attendance for about 10 minutes. He then proceeded to apply my payment to his next customer, so a further 10 minutes was taken up by him contacting his office to sort it out. This was rectified satisfactorily, unlike the issue with the dishwasher which continues to be unresolved. Unfortunately due to some personal events I did not get back in touch immediately to advise that the reported issue had not been resolved, however, I had been told that the payment of £82.95 + VAT would cover me for 6 months should the fault not have been sorted out, so that was fine. When I rang to report that the dishwasher was still not working properly I was told I'd need to pay another £82.95 + VAT as I hadn't described the issue in the same way I'd originally described it. The woman I spoke to on the phone was totally disinterested in listening to my explanation of the problem and how it was still exactly the same as that initially reported, and 3 times told me I'd have to pay again as it was a new problem. She also ignored on two occasions my question around how the engineer who attended told me he didn't do dishwashers". The whole experience has been unprofessional and unacceptable and I would sincerely urge anyone looking for a repair service for their electrical appliance to go to a more reputable and more capable provider and hope this review prevents anyone else losing a lot of money for nothing in return except incompetence and lack of consumer care."

WARNING- DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.Booked a w. machine repair.Engineer call out + part =£164.Had to pay there and then to the office.Was told the whole computer board needed replacing.Part, I was told, would take up to 2 weeks to arrive.Called back a fortnight later.Told part,'Indefinite' wait.Arrived a week later.Fitted.Stopped working after 2 washes.Reported issue.Booked another engineer site visit.Received a call from Glotech with message prior to 2nd visit, that the engineer warned it might not be possible to repair machine as it was in an outhouse.This had never been mentioned before they took the£164.2nd engineer came out.Tried to be helpful.Made recommendation to the office that they either fully refund or.knock off the £164 from a new w.machine.Told the office would be in touch.Nothing.emailed.Response 27/11:'Cannot refund whole amount ( offered approx.£103) only, as engineers came out twice'....negating the fact this was due to their incompetence and therefore their responsibility .Then offered the same amount off one of 3 designs of machine they were selling for £479.99 each.They are obviously happy to bodge a job, take the money and walk away, abdicating as much of the rsponsibility as possible.Too bad.They picked on the wrong punter .

Having now read reviews for Glotech St Albans, I wish I had read them before I had an engineer tell me it would be cheaper to replace my fridge than repair. Paid the call out charge. Phone call from Glotech later that afternoon said they had the same fridge in stock. Great I thought and arranged to have it fitted. The fridge they supplied has one door shelf and inside shelf less than the old one, not only that but it is damaged. So far email after email asking for acknowledgment of receipt at least. Not one word.It seems to be the same story over and over again.What do I do next?
