I remember visiting and getting Dr Downie, he does not take mental health seriously. He suggested I go a run" when I went for help. I was made to feel like a time waster despite the fact I work full time and actually contribute to society.I later went to Dr Bhat and the difference was stark

The receptionist June was exceptionally helpful today when I called for advice regarding my mother. Later that day my mother got a call confirming the action taken. Very efficient & happy with the speedy result. I have spoken to june before when once again she was helpful, knowledgeable, understanding & friendly.

Was 3 mins late for flu jag due to lack of parking , was told nurse not able to take you as it's a 5 minute procedure, go figure!? Receptionists don't realise some people have work & everyone in Barrhead isn't unemployed. Need trained on their customer service skills.

Very unhappy with the behaviour from one of the senior doctor in this GP. And I can see his name in the others comments as negative. He always try to ignore anything and don't take seriously. I don't want to share his name here. But other doctor respond differently when I discussed the same issue. GP is good but I will just asked them never assign that doctor on my call or appointment again.

I would give it a 0 if I could. Been trying to book an afternoon appointment for my mum that is in real need of a doctors appointment for 3 weeks now every day we call them at 9am and every hour after that just to be told there’s a high demand and no appointments available as doctors apparently come down to see each patient so they do not actually stay in practise. Wish we never moved GP’s. Receptionist is as useless as anything!

As i stay in Barrhead for a long time I cant say a good word about that practice... I'm shocked that it is still open an no one sue them yet.they don't care how you feel they don't even bother to check blood etc I can only say one thing if you consider to go there then better stay at home they will never help. Those are not real doctors those are incompetent and rude people who don't care about you.

Dr Downey is a disgrace rude arrogant and unwilling to listen to real health concerns

Having only attended 2 GP appointments with the Glennifer Medical Practice since moving to Barrhead, I can already recommend that those seeking mental health assistance register with another practice if at all possible. Dr Downey was rude, dismissive and clearly couldn't wait to end the appointment regarding restarting anti-depressant medication. He advised that there was no in-house mental health pathway in which to refer patients to counselling etc. so advised I seek this via an external organisation. 2nd appointment with Dr O'Donoghue was similar. Never in my life have I had my diagnosis called into question prior to this appointment and she very reluctantly referred me to treatment (for a condition which an NHS psychiatrist has already diagnosed and treated me for over a number of years). Disgusting level of care. Reception staff have always been pleasant to deal with in my experience. I would like to think the GPs at this practice have their conduct looked into but I doubt this will happen.

Myself and my wife moved to this Practice last year. You can never get through. Your kept on hold for ages the phone then rings out then cuts you off. Doctors are good when you very rarely get through to speak to them. An upgrade of there phone system is overdue. There should be a stacking system and NO ONE should be cut off. Our old practices always picked up phones within seconds of phoning. We have issues on nearly everything we phone this Practice.
