Vastly overpriced for what was served. Had a problem with a shrimp dish which had not been correctly cleaned, but in fairness was taken off the bill. All other dishes were very simple and unspectacular and over priced. Cheapest red wine at £30.95 a bottle is extortionate. As Spanish property owners we have been eating tapas for over 20 years, and are used to foreign restaurants offering authentic spanish fare, this in all honesty is another one which is ripping off uneducated diners

First experience of Spanish restaurant food, normally eat French or Italian. The food at Fat Toro certainly packs a punch, lots of flavour. Loved the Chorizo in Red Wine, and the Calamari. Portion size was good.Chose a Spanish white which was good. The mark up on the Muscadet and Picpoul de Pinet was too much for some very ordinary French wines.Would have been better if a chalk board menu was available in the back room.Would eat here again.

Superb, stunning wine, the lentils with chorizo was gorgeous and we were so chuffed to have Tarte de Santiago for dessert. A lovely homely feel with a personal touch

Fat Toro - wow wow wow! Gabi and Salvo are the real deal! We booked Fat Toro for our wedding reception dinner (about 20-22 people fit in the back room - perfect for an intimate family or group dinner). It was nothing short of amazing and absolutely perfect for our special day. Gabi and Salvo went above and beyond to ensure every detail was covered. Every step of the way, they were passionate, communicative, creative, and enthusiastic. The food, wine, and ambience were perfect. All our guests raved about the food. Hats off to the incredible chefs. I highly recommend Fat Toro for your next special event.

I went for Tapas and drinks with my partner. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and the atmosphere felt as if we had been transported to Spain. They have a great wine selection but also have a range of bottled Spanish beers. Highly recommend and we will be going back!

Lovely place, lovely staff. The food was too die for! The owner and the chef were very friendly and welcoming. It’s nice to see some good quality tapas making more of an appearance in Swansea. Definitely will be returning to Fat Toro soon!

I gotta say, the food was very very tasty. Ordered the set menu. A bit apprehensive about the dates wrapped in bacon and the aubergine dish, but these turned out to be my favourite dishes, they were absolutely delicious. The Patatas bravas were also very very good.

So close, but a way to go from a 5 star review. We had a booking for 8pm, I could see walking in much of the pinchos we’re sold out. After the long wait to order the man taking our order said next time to book earlier as they will have more pinchos left. Some great dishes. The papas arrugadas were under cooked, we actually left a whole dish of them. Lovely staff, loved the peach and Brie pinchos, could have been better, the bread was a bit soggy. On the whole, good by Swansea food standards.

How refreshing to eat somewhere which is buzzing with enthusiasm and passion. The food was original and piping hot, perfectly cooked from scratch only 2 metres away. The waiter/owner was very knowledgable about wine and the wine list reflected this, with a wide choice from different countries. The hot chocolate with smoked spiced rum was a novel experience! An authentic menu, with great service. Recommended.
