BLS Spain Visa Application Centre Manchester

My Visa arrived and got approved within a week of my appointment date, but I had somewhat an average experience.Getting an Appointment:It took me nearly 2 whole months of checking every day on the website to finally get a last minute cancellation appointment. My tip would be to check at 10am every weekday for cancellations and midnight at the beginning of each new month. The centre does accept walk ins as I saw a long queue of people lining up outside the building but it is not guaranteed that everyone/anyone will get seen as it depends how busy the centre is that day.Visa Centre Experience:I've seen reviews about the lady at reception being lovely and helpful to others however I did not experience this at all. I did not feel stressed when I walked into the centre but the receptionist made me feel rushed and anxious. The reception room was quite small and she was rushing everyone to get in through the doors and to gather their documents in the correct order. Perhaps she was just trying to do her job but this is certainly not the atmosphere you want to create when others are already feeling nervous.Tips:The BLS website for the Manchester centre states you need to have a bank balance of £800 if you're travelling up to 9 days, then a further £80 per extra day. However, on the document checklist that you are given at reception, it asks for £900 if you're travelling up to 7 days, then a further £90 per extra day. Although this is a small difference, this can cause your Visa application to be rejected.

Getting an appointment nigh on impossible unless you select their premier service - nothing premier about it, just an easy way for them to make an extra £200 off of you - wasn't even able to use the lounge" paid for as it was too busy apparently so had to wait outside in the rain.Felt like they were making stuff up on the spot - didn't want half the documents asked for on the online checklist which is worrying especially when it comes to bank statements and payslips

On 4 August I went to Spanish consulate in the Manchester for my work visa, really it was a brilliant experience becaise I found the staff there very kind, humble and supportive from their security guards to the visa officers.They completely know what they are doing with spend8ng enough time for any applicant without any stress and problem.Thanks again to all the staff there and hope the best for all of you.

THIS IS NOT THE CORRECT ADDRESS!They moved 3 months ago to St James' TOWER in the city centre. Check your appointment letter for confirmation.Staff were helpful and friendly. They got us seen to- despite us being late due to the new address. Booking an appointment is a huge pain but they did a good job at keeping us calm once we got there.If you are a sponsor, make sure you have a recent letter from your employer/boss confirming your employment, position, salary, and the company logo. A contract of employment does not count.If you have an invitation from a friend, make sure you have a letter approved by their local Spanish police. A letter from your friend will not count.

Thanks god it has change the staff and the process! Before it was a nightmare and now everything it goes faster and smoother. New staff very nice and helpful. Very grateful for it, thank you! Still doesn't make too much sense about getting an appointments booking and also about premium visa price when the service is exactly the same than the normal one but hopefully it will change it in near future.

I had a good experience. I went without an appointment and took a walk-in. The lady at the reception was very nice and helpful. It was not crowded at 9am and everything done in 30 minutes. I paid 200 gbp for premium service.

I went for my appointment at BLS Manchester. The lady who is checking documents is amazing and professional. She is very helpful and co-operative. Thank you so much for such a good service.

Came late to the appointment but was still seen to. People there are nice working under pressure. The visa cost me £180 and that’s premium. It was in a small room with so many people. It’s hard to book an appointment without getting premium. The visa process is taking too long been over 2 weeks now they don’t offer refund to your holiday so I ended up having to cancel my trip. Even though I knew I had to apply before it was difficult just getting an appointment. 2 months prior booking would have cut it. Considering I paid £180 I thought the process would be quicker. Also there is uncertainty of how long your visa will last so you can’t plan your trip. And when tracking, you are unable to see if the visa has been accepted it just says processing so you don’t really know when it will be delivered to your home.

Brilliant! I arrived without an appointment for a student visa and was attended to within seconds. I was in and out within 10 minutes. Staff we’re friendly, helpful and efficient. Ana in particular was lovely and helped me! Thank you to the whole team.Edit - visa out for delivery 8 days later. Texts kept me up to date with each stage of the process.
