A big thank you to the rapid response medic Rob who attended to me at 2am on Sunday morning. I was eventually diagnosed with pneumonia and spent three days in hospital. He was with me within 5 minutes of my wife’s 999 call and stayed with me until I was in a cubicle at GWH, popping back later to see how I was progressing. 7 days of intense antibiotics and I am now on the way to recovery

I was unfortunate enough to slip and break my ankle on Saturday. Two men whom I assume came from Queeens Drive could not have been more effective, kind and helpful. They were with me promptly tho the rapid response lady was even quicker so she deserves a thanks too, especially as this is a voluntary role. The two medics administered pain relief so they could get me out of the garden, through the house, across the gravel, into their van. They were unfailingly polite to each other and me, took every appropriate action to get me stabilised so they could drive me, very carefully, to hospital. Once there they stayed with me until I was through the hospital admission process. I can't thank them enough for their compassion, skill and humour. Would like to say a big thank you to the paramedics that attended to my mother june smith on 15/11/17. After three months of pain and poor diagnosis by her GP !!. Tha paramedics quickly assessed her and were concerned with her low pulse rate of 39 !! They took her straight to GWH where within 6 hrs she was having a pace maker fitted. She is recovering well thanks to the fast, efficient and courteous service provided by the paramedics.Forever in your debtMark smith
