It’s more than a month since we dine at Lurra, I am still thinking of the octopus. The nicest of the octopus I have tried to date. Will definitely come again for my next trip to London. The bone marrow and sour dough combination is gorgeous too. We enjoy your lunch every much.

We came for the elderly cow and stayed for their famous charred cheesecake. Everything was delicious. Atmosphere was quiet but they should consider some music to help you not to eavesdrop on conversations. Service was a bit slow but they may have been short staffed. Took over 15 minutes to get some water and our cocktails came after the second appetizer. I'd definitely go back because the cow was absolutely delicious and the cheesecake was great.

All dishes are delicious! Aged meat is voluptuous. The meat around the bone is especially good. The croquettes are actually for two people, but they make them for three, and the customer service is flexible and good. A little noisy from the customers coming in talking. Basque cheesecake for dessert at the end is a must!

Absolutely top notch steak (one of the best I’ve had in London and that’s saying a lot), and the cheesecake was incredible. The octopus was great too. Would highly recommend it and add it to my favourites list.Quite pricey but worth it.Bonus factor: it’s also dog-friendly.

We are big steak lovers and This place is absolutely excellent. For this visit a special thanks for the incredible experience we had with The manager, Alex. We had been to Lurra a few times before but this time We ordered the Italian 100 day aged rib eye and actually thought it was off. Not only did Alex offer me a steak that I would like but he spent the rest of the afternoon explaining the distinct taste of this steak we had originally ordered. We had such great discussions about steak and wine and he really took his time with us. Instead of making us feel bad as customers trying something new he made us feel incredibly welcome and taught us lots! Thanks to this experience we would definitely come again. Thank you Alex you ROCK and hope to see you soon again for another great meal. Also the wine and pedro Ximenez was 10/10!

OK so I have scored 4 stars on food & service and 3 stars on atmosphere... so why 2 stars overall??I will tell youThe food was good, not excellent but good. The service was good, not outstanding but good! The atmosphere was bang average. But at the cost £750 for 4 people ( where 2 our company had no alcohol. Also there were NO vegetarian options and I mean NONE, so one of our guests had bread and butter and 2 veg side dishes). So it was incredibly expensive and in no way value for money. And in these difficult cost of living times value for money is important!!Would I go again??? NO!!!!!Simple as....

The special of the day is amazing (see picture 2) it has a rich taste of garlic sauce, very tender fish. Clams are not so meaty but I won’t be so hash on their quality. The octopus tentacles are a big frustration. I was imagining a tender and rich texture. But in fact it’s very soft. Some parts were overcooked some parts were medium rare. The overcooked part was bitter so it’s not tasty. Sauce is not helping a lot.The waiter spilled some grease from the bones while taking away the finished dish. It was lucky that it wasn’t on my favourite shirt. And they seemed to tried to pretend they didn’t know so didn’t come to clean the table immediately.

Went here in a group of 7 and ordered a ton of stuff - pretty much everything was excellent. Favourite was the turbot, definitely get that! Rib-eye was excellently cooked too and the starters were spot on as well + dessert.

Disappointing!!! It's NOT a Vasco authentic. The restaurant was expensive, and the quality of food did not justify the price. The service was mediocre and not welcoming, and the noise level was too high. There was no authenticity and did not reflect the Vasca cuisine. It appears to be more a tourist trap.£115 for 800 grams Tbone steak full of fat and bone. I found it ridiculous. Trust me, I had excellent meats and quality, and I do not hesitate to pay a high price for it. But this is not justifiable. I would not recommend this place at all, no for meat and neither for Vasca/Basca cuisine.3 starts if I compare with similar places you expect high quality, value for money and high quality service.
