The Artisan Cookhouse
We both enjoyed our spiced coriander soup, not too spicy with great flavours. A touch too much salt which was competing with the flavours a bit, which can always be added at the table. Coffee was good, not burnt or over extracted. Staff helpful and one asked how was are food. A good sign they hold customer experience highly. Good job overall

Great restaurant. Really good food cooked beautifully. Decent selection of seafood alongside good hearty Ulster cooking. Good selection of wine, whiskey, beer and cocktails too. Catch of the day was plaice served with crushed potatoes, caper butter sauce and pea shoots. The fish and chips and chicken supreme were great too, and the kids menu is exactly what you'd want!

Exceptional flavours, generous portions, lovely staff - a wonderful find! We went for dinner and would highly recommend it. The fish burger was exceptional - only available on Friday as part of their special surf and turf menu. The salt and pepper saids starter was a marvel.

We did lunch on Saturday & so impressed we came back for dinner tonight & brought friends. The food was spectacular on both occasions. The staff are helpful, friendly & just a delight . Probably our best ever place to eat & recommend to our friends.

Lovely welcome by waitress, seated and offered a very varied Menu. My husband still raves about the excellent seafood linguine and my cod was coated with a delicious light batter, just right. Desserts were exceptional. Highly recommended.

Great place. They took a quick reservation from us and even made space for us to stay for a bit longer. Food is the best in the area but quite pricey but also is worth the price. Great place overall with good opening hours would strongly recommend

Arrived with no booking. It was our 44th wedding anniversary so wanted something a little bit more 'special'. We were not disappointed. Everything was perfect. Two courses for £22 each so was also a good price. Service great and everyone friendly. Thank you. Highly recommended.

I very rarely leave a review, however,we visited the restaurant yesterday after hearing good reports. Sadly we did not have the same experience as friends.The service was dreadful, the waitresses seemed to be interested in people they knew and not first time customers.The food was good but the portion size was meagre apart from dessert.Our main course was almost finished before we got wine. There was no apologyNot a good experience for an evening we were looking forward to

Great atmosphere, and fantastic food. Fair price, and great cocktails. Service *** because we ordered 2 desserts but received just one, when asked staff for another one they served very quickly. After checking the bill at home we realised we were charged three times for two desserts.

Well worth the drive, roast beef was outstanding. Food amazing, staff so friendly and welcoming.They stock stonewell cider hard to find in the north.Will be back.
