Thuxton

Thuxton railway station is a retired and restored small stop on the mid Norfolk railway between Dereham and Wymondham. It takes about 10 minutes to reach from Dereham on the train.You catch the steam train ( electric train if the weather is bad) for £12.Until the bridge is restored allowing the line to run from Dereham to Wymondham, which at the moment it doesn't, the price is a little steep for the ride, even with the 15 minutes hanging around on Thuxton station for the loco to change ends and pull the train back to Dereham.
