A fantastic round at Littlehill Golf Course (£12 for 18 - BARGAIN) this course is long and challenging. It's a bit worn down but for the price, it's a gem! The staff are very friendly and if the course gets a few bits and pieces tidied up then I'm sure they'll be packed in no time! (eg distance markers, smaller greens).

Littlehill is a charming course that can test all quality of golfers. Multiple elevation changes and pockets of dense woodlands give the course plenty of character.Value for money, the course is unrivalled. In the summer, the green conditions are poor, which is to be expected given the funding gap compared to private courses, but generally they keep the course in good nick.

This has a great layout for a Municipal course. I have been playing here since I was junior...Learned my trade, so to speak. But this season the course is a catastrophe.Whoever made the decision to core these greens and then not fill the core holes with a dressing, has caused the holes to collapse in on themselves because there was no rain or bowser system. The greens now are virtually unplayable for competition. At best...I class the greens as hit n hope".Fairways are decent but if you miss them then don't expect semi rough like any other course. What you find is heavy rough bcoz its cut infrequently and then when it does get done its been cut so fast that it left clumps of 9" tall grass between the undulations at every hole. Not very fair if a low handicapper finds himself there while playing a tie against a high handicapper. It's quite simply poor course management.Whoever makes these decisions should quite simply rethink their career in my opinion.Primarily a public course is there to be ENJOYED by the public who probably can't afford private course fees...but as it stands...I ask myself one simple question...Would I pay £10 to £12 a round to play here ?Quite simply NO..Not a chance...My garden has a better putting surface."

Played this course for over thirty years . Had a round this week and its the best condition I've seen it in the greens apart from 2 are in great condition and the fairways also good . They have spent a bit of money on it and you notice it . Wish people would appreciate the course and pay to play on it .

Course is in good condition at the moment. Fairways and greens are fine although rough is too long in places-can lose a ball just off fairway- but for a public course overall it's s good experience

Good value for money. If you are a rubbish golfer like me you can hit cars on the main road. Yep i really am that bad. Greens are good and well kept and a credit to the staff. Can get busy in the summer and there is one hole which is blind and the local kids can run on and nick your golf ball. good fun though and cheap so definitely worth a visit
