Ulwell Holiday Park

This campsite is the worst I have used in 28 years of camping all over Europe. The pitch was unsuitable for our 6.5 metre Hymer. The washrooms had no private cubicles for men or women.The dishwashing area lights did not come on in the dark. The pitch was dirty and not maintained and on a slope that made it difficult to leave. In a competition the first prize would be 1 week there and second 2 weeks there. I had to cancel my first booking there as my wife had had to go to hospital and they charged me £20 to change the booking. This site is one to avoid.

I've been coming to this campsite since I was a child and have never had an issue. Caravans are always lovely and clean. Best place to stay in Swanage. We love that the caravans have a decent space between each other unlike a lot of other sites.

Lovely holiday park with great views. The only thing that let it down was that it is not completely disabled friendly. They have a lovely disabled wet room, but I was unable to get into the shop as it had steps on both the entrance and the exit. We were placed on a pitch at the top of the park, which meant we were a long way away from the amenities, and the hills were too steep for us to cope with. There were steps near our van that led to an uphill pathway to the toilet and shower block. These steps were quite steep and didn't have a hand rail, which made it dangerous for my parents who have mobility problems and impossible for me as I need to use a rollator, so I had to drive round each time. The Village Inn restaurant was amazing and served the best food I have ever had!

Absolutely stunning views, very relaxing and has everything you need on-site. I’ve stayed here 3 times now over the years and thoroughly enjoyed each time. It’s a great location!

Lovely campsite, fairly quiet and laid back. Clean showers and toilet block. Customer service was slightly disappointing and not very helpful. Breakfast in the on-site restaurant was good however it wasn’t available on the second day of our stay. If you don’t mind walking, there is a nice walk down to Swanage sea front.

Me and my sister stayed here for a lovely week. The caravan was lovely and clean the site was lovely and quiet loads of places around to visit. We have had a great time we are going to book for next year

Nice, clean & quite camped site with ehu & a big spacious play area for the children complete with play equipment. Facilities are spacious & clean. Undercover wash station for pots & onsite mini laundret. Onsite shop that stocks all the necessities, onsite restaurant (didn't eat here so can't comment on it) & onsite swimming pool which the kids absolutely loved using. However I would advise to wear goggles as we found the chlorine to be strong. Close proximity to the beach, roughly 5 - 10 minute drive. Overall we had a lovely stay & would definitely return in the future.

Arrived late and desperate as we had nowhere to stay. Even though they were very busy, they made room for us. Facilities were lovely, pool and pub on site which was very handy for the day of torrential rain. As we were hiking the SW Coast path, all the plug and USB points in the pub were very handy for recharging our devices

I stayed in my own motorhome. The pitch was a good size with elec. The site is hilly so don't expect an easy walk if you have fitness issues.The facilities are really good.The restaurant is a good quality, unusual for a camp site. There are a number of fixed mobile homes and quite an elderly clientele. A sizeable play area is provided for the youngsters.

We have just had a lovely 2 weeks on this site.If your after a holiday in this area.There is nowhere better than Ulwell Cottage caravan park.Statics are always immaculate.Site is maintained beautifully.Staff are very friendly and helpful.Lovely food,drinks and service from friendly staff at the Village inn, which is on the site.Been coming for 10 years now and when coming to Dorset I won't stay anywhere else but Ulwell.We love this place.
