I was thrilled to find a specialist curl by curl hair stylist in my local area and was not disappointed. Sam takes time to listen to what you want and offers advice on how to keep your curls in tip top condition and restyle at home. Her beautiful shepherd's hut salon surrounded by meadowland and pretty pond makes the whole experience even more special. I would definitely recommend.

A curly girl miracle worker!!Sam's welcoming and engaging nature made a trip to her beautiful little cabin salon a breeze.I was really unsure if I actually had curly/wavy hair...I was so used to trying to straighten a lion's mane of frizz!Sam set to work straight away to uncover my curls, recommending products and explaining exactly what she was doing so I could attempt to replicate some of it at home.I explained my various failed attempts to find my curls, she was non judgemental and helped me move forward positively.

I just have to leave a review!I had such an amazing experience from start to finish at Chocolate Velvet Hair Design.Upon arrival my eyes were on stalks at the dreamy shepherds hut as an adorable cosy salon. I felt immediately at home. After a comfortable consultation Sam started her special curly hair cutting. Wow! What a difference it makes to have individual curls trimmed. A rear reclining chair for easy of a diffused blow dry rids neck ache and dizziness after upside down positions I have found myself in previously. I was smitten with the blow dry, no more frizziness, just controlled tumbled natural curls. The actual blow dry lasted for days without me having to do anything to it.I have never had my hair cut in such a specialised way to accommodate my curls. Sam really knows her stuff and is totally passionate about curls, having curly hair herself she completely ‘gets it’!No more nervous salon experience trauma. My hair now looks amazing and I have had lots of comments. If anyone is in any doubt please don’t hesitate to get in touch with Sam, her scissors truly are a magic wand!
