Master Wallace Blackbelt academy.
I was initially trained by Master Wallace in my teens but had to give up due to work commitments. Once the opportunity arose to return to martial arts, I did research all options but there was only ever going to be one real contender. Now a few years into my second stint, it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. No two classes are ever the same but are all delivered with the highest level of expertise. The variety in training makes it easy to look forward to classes and individuals are always guided into performing to the best of their ability. Classes can involve fitness, stretching, sparring drills, padwork, heavy bags, bresking boards, self defence, patterns and / or attacking, blocking, kicking drills (to name just a few). Additional classes are often available to hone fitness or sparring skills.Any description I give of Master Wallace's level of expertise would be an understatement. Watching him demonstrate techniques, it's impossible not to appreciate the effectiveness of Taekwon-do as a martial art. In the same way Mrs Wallace is the perfect foil, also a Taekwon-do expert with indepth knowledge of fitness, wellbeing and body mechanics. Mrs Wallace also leads the childrens classes. Our son is currently enjoying the Kicking Kids program which is a well structured system with more regular acknowledgements of progress that helps to hold his interest. There is very much a family feel to the academy, in large part due to the family that run it but also within the bonds between other students. A very welcoming and friendly place for all ages and levels of ability.
