Went from being the best bank to the shi*est bank in the UK. Used to be open 7 days a week with late opening hours to now 5 days a week part time hours. Complete joke of a bank. Banked with them for 20 years and now switching to METRO BANK.

This branch is appalling, tried to open bank account for daughter 9 days ago not allowed to walk in or even make an appointment for another day have to leave your details for someone to get back to you, no one has called yet they said they’re busy will get to me soon when I went this morning to try and deposit some money 9 days on is not acceptable no apology nothing! Hugely over engineered system.Also just to deposit money asked to sit outside and wait to be called, looking at 30 mins wait just to deposit some money! The system does not work, can’t be the only branch in such a large place!! Also only open until 3pm daily and no parking what so ever absolute nightmare! Making me consider changing who I bank with something needs to be changed asap before Santander lose customers.

The customer service was incompetent, they phoned a number and together we were all made to wait there for over half an hour listening to the automated message saying all their lines are busy. They didn’t have a solution usually when physically going to a branch the customer care has priority phone access to departments in a different line than the customers have when they phone from their homes. This was not the case here. We kept on waiting for an indefinite time. It felt like we were made to give up because of time pressure and we weren’t offered any solutions other than an apology. It felt unbelievably insincere that the customer care assistant couldn’t honestly tell she wasn’t able to help in the first place but it felt like she made us give up with strategy.

150 million flagship building, designed to be used by the staff from Santander and the local community. Only, they don’t want you using the branch which is hidden at the back of a “coffee shop” on the ground level, behind a single sliding door? It’s really badly signposted, the staff are thin on the ground. You have to “check in” using QR codes which take for ever to load.I needed non counter services and had to wait for the counter staff to close the counter before dealing with non counter customers in seemingly a completely random order. It took best part of an hour just to be seen.Just a thought Santander but how about remembering what your role in society is. You’re a bank and you only exist because of your customers. Customers occasionally still need to come into branch.Oh and your Christmas tree is as pathetic as your service.

I wanted to withdraw cash exceeding the machine limit. Went to the centre MK branch, only to find they’ve moved. I drove to what I assumed the next branch, Santander House. The man at the desk kept repeating that I should go to the Centre MK branch. I explained that it had moved and I wanted to know the closest branch but he wasn’t helping me other than telling me the same answer.He didn’t even know the branch nearby closed and moved. Shocking service.

Be careful whenever you withdraw notes from this Santander branch as they gave us a fake note.We withdrew several 50 pounds notes from here and their staff gave us notes without checking anything. However, when we wanted to deposit remaining 50 pound notes back to our account, they told me there is one fake note which is from them!All they said is that it was our responsibility to check notes in the branch and they would take no response once leaving from their door.I am going to switch my account, I cannot believe Santander any more.

What a joke.They shut a large and functional branch in the shopping centre, and replace it with a tiny coffee shop. Sure it looks all cool and trendy, but there are now huge unhappy queues of people waiting to do their banking.But look how trendy it is" says Santander.I don't care. I just want to do my banking efficiently.Santander

I had a very bad experience with one of the staff member from Santander. She was rude and belittling to me and my co worker. We work in the center MK and she came into our store and ask for center discount. I had to tell her we couldn’t honour it because Santander is not part of the Center Mk but The Intu bit. I explained it to her and she told me I had an attitude. I asked my manager and all we said was we are cracking down on it and she called us rude. She belittled my manager and gave us attitude. She was in uniform and showed us her Santander badge for the discount. We didn’t expect another customer service based person to be this rude. Scoffing at us and giving us attitude for not giving her discount. Santander please highlight where they can and cannot get discount. If she comes back in with that attitude we will not service her. It should be other customer service retailers supporting each other not behaving like this.
