Mr Gooding is by far and away one of the best surgeons i have encountered. Having had multiple shoulder surgeries previously by 3 other surgeons i was still having issues. Mr Gooding came recommended to me through another surgeon who is no longer practising. He took the time to listen to exactly what my issues were, made sure he understood the impact this is having on my life and recommended a surgery that wasn't previously suggested to me, albeit making it very clear that no promises could be made. He ensures he manages your expectations whilst giving you the best care possible. I am now 8weeks down the line and glad to say i feel we are finally on the right path and my movement is so much better. Thank you Mr Gooding for all your help, your kindness, your patience and most importantly for listening to me.

I was given explanations about my rotator cuff tear and why surgery was necessary. I felt safe and reassured by knowing Mr Gooding would be doing my surgery. After care with post op advice and what to expect was very helpful. Physio care excellent. Discharge consultation also reassuring with knowing i could seek help if i was concerned at all with my progress

Having had a few years of difficulties with my right arm and hand and not being diagnosed correctly in the past. I chose Dr Gooding who came highly recommended to look further into my issues. Having had a correct diagnosis from Dr Gooding he swiftly operated and did the following procedure “Right common extensor tendon repair (tennis elbow tendon) and carpal tunnel decompression”.Dr Gooding has done such an amazing job that you can hardly see the scarring after 8 weeks and my recovery is going well. Thank you Dr Gooding for taking good care and making me feel relaxed and confident throughout the whole process.

Mr Gooding carried out a rota cuff operation on my husband’s badly damaged shoulder. The service and care he received from Mr Gooding was brilliant. He went out of his way to get Steven in as quickly as he could, and the operation went very smoothly. The aftercare has been brilliant and Steven is now well on the road to recovery thanks to Mr Gooding. We both really appreciate everything he has done and can’t thank him enough.

Mr Gooding did me a full shoulder replacement just 5 weeks ago. He came highly recommended as a top surgeon, he is beyond that. My dealings with him from pre op to surgery and aftercare has been impeccable. To say where i am now to 5 weeks ago is just some what brilliant, his expertise advise and the way he guided me through the day of my surgery really did put me at ease. I cannot recommend him and his team enough should anyone need a SPECIALIST in this field. Away from the surgery and treatment, one of the nicest genuine guys i have ever met.

Reverse replacement shoulder operation nine weeks ago was very successful and I’m delighted with result. I wish my doctors had referred me to Mr Gooding seven years ago instead of giving me injections and exercises to do in order to minimise my pain.All I need to do now is build up my muscle strength and I’m looking forward to swimming and playing golf again

Thank you Mr Gooding for my Reverse Total Shoulder Replacement.I wake every morning and can't believe I'm no longer in pain and I look forward to my next operation in January. I would also like to thank Alison, my physio for such a good gob.

Booked appointment with Mr Gooding at short notice as I was in acute shoulder pain. He was very easy to talk to and explained what he thought was the problem and the treatment required to establish that and then hopefully rectify it. Within an hour I had had the tests and treatment required and was on my way home. He explained the costs clearly at each stage and the plans for further treatment if what had been undertaken at our first meeting didn't work so he covered all bases which was a great comfort. Within 24 hours after treatment I was much better and in no pain at all. Still a way to go as I still have some restriction in the shoulder but he did explain that full recovery could take up to 6 weeks. Delighted with the outcome and looking forward to returning full mobility to my shoulder. Just so relieved not to be in constant pain. Thank you Mr Gooding.

Mr Gooding was very professional, friendly and thorough. He diagnosed my problem, explained the diagnosis and discussed the treatment. He quickly overcame my fear of Cortisone injections and administered it almost painlessly whilst explaining what he was doing. I have every confidence in him and will certainly seek further advice and treatment from him if necessary.

I was very worried about this operation, Complete Shoulder ReversalMr Gooding was excellent, the first 5 days were the most painful, but then I felt better, the pain controllable and I pushed thro exercising regularly as instructed.I had my 6 week post operative yesterday with him and my movement exceeded his expectations in this time span, also the scar very neat and so good I can wear sleeveless tops without feeling self conscious.I can’t thank Mr Gooding enough for giving me a pain free arm and shoulder and his wonderful physio Fiona.I have no qualms about my next Operation, and would highly recommend himThank-you so muchKaren Preston
