Didsbury childminding

Both our children attend Didsbury Childminding & it’s a great independent nursery. It’s like home from home & our children love it. They do a huge range of activities & spend lots of time outside, it’s very children centred & the staff are brilliant. The owner is very hands on & dedicated to the children’s well being. I’ve always been very happy with the setting & they’ve handled the COVID-19 pandemic very professionally.

My son attending Didsbury Childminding from the baby room through to the pre-school room and I cannot recommend the setting enough. Child centred, nurturing, encouraging and completely welcoming, my child has completely thrived in this setting and is leaving a confident, inquisitive young boy fully equipped with the skills he needs to start reception in September. The rooms are led with love, so I always felt completely reassured that whatever was planned, or however the day would go, my child felt safe, nurtured and encouraged to get involved at his own pace without any pressure or agenda. There’s a wide range of activities and celebrations so no two days are the same, and all are underpinned with key life lessons to encourage curiosity, kindness and acceptance. The communication has been seamless, no request too big or small, and despite the challenges of a pandemic, Michelle and her team have operated as complete professionals and fully supported parents and children in any way they could. My only wish is that we could continue to attend through the school years too!

My daughter has been going hear since she was 5 months and is now leaving for reception. I can whole-heartedly say that I could not have chosen anywhere better. Michelle and her team provide a cosy and sensory home from home, the dedication they put in to nurturing the little ones is above everything I could have ever imagined for my child. They foster independence and creativity to the max, it’s all about child led discovery and learning, it’s not like any of the other corporate style chain places I went to see. Its built up from sheer love and dedication, not money and numbers. The owner Michelle is one in a million and so considerate and understanding of all the children’s needs and that of the family’s too. My only regret is that Berry now has to leave and go to school but we will be using Didsbury Childminders for summer sessions. Personally I feel you would be missing something magic & special to place your children anywhere else.

Brilliant nursery, amazing team, and Michelle have always been amazingly helpful!My daughter enjoyed everything at DCM, so much to do and learn!I am thankful I found this special place to my little girl. We moved to Manchester in last September and Didsbury Childminding immediately made our two kids feel at home - our son was 7 months when he started attending and our daughter was 3.5. The staff are fabulous and the days are full of activities, learning, baking, drama - our daughter always comes home full of energy and stories, and the baby is learning and laughing all day. The food is great and healthy, and the director is very communicative and cares about every kid. Highly recommend!

My daughter attends Didsbury childminding and the care has been phenomenal. The staff are so kind and friendly, they really made my daughter feel welcomed and loved. Her speech and reading has flourished while under the care of Michelle and all her team. The team really go above and beyond to provide extraordinary care for all the children in the setting. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for childcare.

If you are looking for a Nursery setting where you can be confident that your child’s individual needs will be met, then don’t hesitate to choose Didsbury Childminding. After a difficult start at our son’s previous nursery, we made the decision to move him to Didsbury Childminding when he was 16 months old…although not on our doorstep and further away for us then many of our more local nurseries, we have absolutely no regrets other than not putting him there sooner!The difference in him as soon as he started was unbelievable. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and they did everything they could to make our son feel happy and safe at his new setting. As a result he settled extremely quickly and he was confident to attend. He had the best time and spent two very happy years at Didsbury Childminding, only moving on to attend his local pre-school when he was old enough. The opportunities that Michelle and her team provide are outstanding and with an early years background myself, I don’t know any other settings who make so much use of what the local environment and community have to offer. They make it look easy to take out lots of toddlers all at the same time! Our son spent so many hours enjoying ‘Forest School’, fun walks and outdoor activities. They also make use of all the learning opportunities when celebrating festivals, events, seasons etc. The team are experts at delivering fun and creative activities based on the children’s interests and as a result, our son thrived and made excellent progress.Michelle is extremely flexible and accommodating which was such a positive for us and helped us manage our childcare hugely, especially during the difficult pandemic days. In addition, the daily rates are very fair and reasonable compared to other nurseries in the area. Our son’s happiness whilst in the care of Michelle and her wonderful team was evident and the staff go above and beyond to give each and every child the very best start. We will always be grateful to them.

Great nursery! Really look after your kids and make parents comfortable when dropping off! My daughter was really clingy to me at 9 months so I was afraid she wouldn't settle, but the staff was wonderful and made me feel really comfortable that my daughter was in good hands. My daughter loves going to didsbury childminders! Highly recommend
