The sign says to ask for assistances if needed. My 68yr old mother asked the 2 employees near the entrance if she could have some help getting a very heavy leather sofa out her vehicle and into the appropriate container. The men said that my mum and I would have to get it out the vehicle ourselves and put it besides the container, where they would get a machine to lift it.Thankfully a gentleman visitor at the tip kindly offered to help along with 2 other gents.Meanwhile the employees stood around getting paid for leaning up against a post.

Staff are nice, but as a service it is beyond useless. It is run for Veolia’s convenience rather than residents’. It is shut regularly, when advertised as open. This is to enable lorries to remove full skips. So you can sit in a queue for half an hour. Our time is seemingly worth nothing. There’s no way of telling it’s shut when you set off. A simple webcam would solve this. And Veolia should ensure skips are unlikely to need changing, in their own time, outside public opening hours. It’s no surprise we have so much flytipping.

Super, well managed tip with friendly and helpful Team!Never had to queue more than 20 mins but, living close, if the cars are backed to Wilson Ave I come back later.
