I’m not new to using a computer but i am new to MacBook. My old desk top gave up the ghost and I knew I needed a replacement I did not want to add to an already overloaded carbon footprint so decided to buy a refurbished Applemac. I googled Best Buy laptops etc and found Computer Discounts. Their site is laid out well and the info on each machine clear and helpful. I made my choice for a refurbed MacBook. It arrived promptly. I hit a minor problem that same day and contacted the company straight away. Within hours they responded to my query and I was on my way. I am very happy with my MacBook and know I can ask again if I have any problems.Carole Kirsopp

Really excellent service. I had to return a laptop (my error as I picked the wrong one) and the returns process could not have been any easier. I purchased another laptop and it is great quality. I would not hesitate to recommend computer discounts. All staff I dealt with were courteous, helpful and respectful.

AVOID, FAULTY/DANGEROUS PRODUCT AND REFUND REFUSEDI bought a macbook pro (£864.99) from this company in late 2020 and received a really faulty product. Despite their promise that it would function as new, the macbook had a damaged screen and only a 45 minute battery life. I had to really fight for a replacement (THEY INSISTED THIS WAS STANDARD FOR REFURBISH MACHINES?!). After lots of arguing I got my replacement. It was well cared for and only ever used for light web surfing, but 1 year later it's completely unusable. The battery life has drastically declined and it gets SO HOT that I can't even hold it, it's DANGEROUS. I've repeatedly asked them for a replacement or refund and implicated my legal rights as a consumer. Every email I send is answered with the same obstructive line about how my 12 month warranty has expired" and they are refusing to address anything I say about my consumer rights. They don't seem to care that they've sold me a dangerous product and are refusing to refund me. It's deeply frustrating and unfortunately it seems that my only option is pursue legal action. Just bite the bullet and buy new

Excellent experience from start to finish. Even when I had to return first laptop (my fault) they refunded in agreed time and I purchased another one after picking their brains on what I needed. Quick replies on any questions you ask which for myself is a big plus, customer service is probably the best I've dealt with.As and when needed I will buy again.

Very efficient company. I would no hesitation use Computer Discounts again if I were to purchase another laptop. I returned a mac Pro not because it was no good. On the contrary. It was my fault of purchase in the first place as I ordered a wrong one. The service and efficiency was impeccable. I returned the goods back and without any proplems had my refund. They kept me up to date with when I would get my refund etc. 5 stars for great service. I'm just so sorry that I should have researched the right laptop in the first place.
