Starbucks Coffee
This is the Starbucks Coffee shop located on the corner of King Street at the end of Broad Street in Reading. The store has recently been revamped and is now a more modern and sober version of it’s previous self. It has lost a bit of character that it used to have but there is ample seating with a decent long bar and stools along the main window overlooking King Street. The staff are efficient, friendly and polite which is typical of Starbucks Coffee shops in general in my experience. Given it’s location it is a popular venue so can get quite busy but the actual order taking through to collection of coffee is fairly speedy - drink preparation and handover is faster than other main coffee stores. There are toilets onsite and you need to ask a member of staff for the PIN number to gain access.

A beautiful Starbucks in the heart of Reading right along Broad Street.I am not a coffee fan. I have friends and family members that are, very much, coffee fans. That means that they like Starbucks. So I have been to many Starbucks over the years. I wanted to put that in context before I said this. This is one of the nicest Starbucks that I have ever visited! It is located on the north side of the cobblestone walking part of Broad Street. It is a corner store and has large windows along both sides of the store. The inside of the store has more and more types, of seating than I have seen in other stores. It has light wood floors, comfortable chairs, and various table chair combinations. The store was very inviting and clean although busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The counter is located along the east side of the store in the standard store configuration. The menu is behind the counter and they had a good collection of food and drinks that you would expect at these stores. You order at one end of the counter and pay and your drinks are delivered at the other end. I got an iced tea and was pleased with the results. Overall it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to travellers in the area both as a respite from a busy travel day or just a place to get a good relaxing drink. Enjoy!

Very poor customer service, the guy taking the order was on the phone the whole time never once asked for membership card, took my order and walked off with the phone on his ear. To make matters worse the coffee was not great either. Will not be returning to this branch.

I asked for strawberry hot chocolate but got something else and like the drinks and food!Most people are nice!They need listen what people say to them!Can’t get very hot in summer and even winter!

The drinks are good. however every time ive been there the staff take their sweet time in making drinks. Always talking to each other making an order three times longer than in most Starbucks. If you're in a rush, go elsewhere. Would hate to go here in a busy time. If they just made the drinks quicker they would clear more customers orders and have more time to talk amongst themselves.

I‘ve been visiting every weekend before, and sometimes after, my shifts since May and I‘ve never had a bad experience. All the staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Will be visiting many more times in the future

The young girl with dark skin and curly hair needs training in customer service. She shouldn't be sending away customers just because she's chatting non-sense with her colleague. Very poor customer service.
