As Many Other Reviews Have Mentioned - Discriminatory. If something about you as an individual makes for the slightest inconvenience, they will simply refuse to accommodate you. Mine was my results not being UK but within the CTA. Another woman was shown the door for being pregnantTried to tell me I don't have any secondary level qualifications after I showed them my A Level equivalent Irish results. I linked them and attached a PDF document for framework comparison and broke it down for them, but they once again tried to tell me I did not have them. I was in education till the age of 18 and my grades blatantly show I meet requirements. If you're Irish I'd recommend going to Baltic Apprenticeships instead, QA aren't willing to make the slightest effort whatsoever to try accommodate non British citizens's results whom are legally entitled and accepted on grounds of the CTA (common travel agreement 1920).

REPLY:Sorry I have taken so long to get back, no I would not like to speak to anyone on that contact email. I would like a personal email to speak to someone in management, I would also like a contact number. I will not contact or deal with anyone on that email as last time I did it took 8 months for a reply.Where can I start..honestly going to QA was probably the worse decision of my life that I had made. I was told beforehand even going that QA have a few exceptional tutors, their traineeship is good and we were promised that we would get apprenticeships and guess what? nothing. You have better off being signed on universal credit within a week at the job centre than finding an apprenticeship through QA's traineeship programme.I had an issue with my first placement, then my account manager left and then it took SIX WEEKs to get another placement to start work placement part of the programme again.Other than being able to get my maths functional skills, going there was pretty much a waste of time, there is more chance of getting a clean shave with a BIC razor than getting any apprenticeship through the direct help of QA.I genuinely feel that they have failed me and their duty, other than that I have the utmost respect for the staff at QA, however what I won't do is sugarcoat the truth which is that most staff at QA don't care imo. The time I spent at QA, there was people who were there from the PREVIOUS YEAR they were still there on the traineeship because of some staff member some guy called Mark Sylvester or something had messed around with the course units and functional skills. When I was there the functional skills lessons were not even undertaken properly, I mean what is telling students to go on the city and guilds website and practice the Maths and English papers going to help them? they're there for a reason..and that isn't going to help. Some staff members are in my opinion genuinely not bothered to do their job and are just their to pass time. Now I don't have an apprenticeship, I left a while back. It has been months, passed on another company which I was supposed to hear back from, in fact several in my class were told they would and from those I have communicated with they all have not heard any from them, a few weeks after that I was in a interview for a company which the session I came by the apprenticeship company was through QA (after 3 months of leaving QA) they were supposed to help, but hey presto nothing heard from them after I wasn't successful at my interview.Guys, honestly if you are looking for an apprenticeship do not bother wasting your time at QA. You are going to be sold dreams, there is more chance of Helen Keller finding waldo than you getting an apprenticeship with QA.I can wholeheartedly say there is only a few members of staff at QA that genuinely helped me and I will happily name them; those being Sylvia (functional skills tutor), Stuart (functional skills tutor, helped me get my maths functional skills!!), Adam (who has now left), Joe (one of the account managers) and James (one of the account managers also), other than that honestly there is nothing more I have to say.Other than that I have nothing else to say, I await to see a reply from the QA team who manage this board, maybe someone higher up could turn this negative situation into a positive.

QA DISCRIMINATE AND LIE!Edit:You never resolved this issue and still ignore my emails. This is five years later.I would love to complete my Apprenticeship (I had 1-2 months remaining) but upon falling pregnant was advised to return when I am ready. Unfortunately I am now being ignored and it has been a year since trying to return. Despite finding appropriate workplaces QA are quite unresponsive and I believe I am undergoing discrimination.

QA apprenticeships have really helped me develop my career, I was really nervous about turning down my university offer but the fact that they were really quick and helpful in getting me placed in an apprenticeship showed me I no longer needed to worry. They are always supportive and try to help you with every worry you may have which is all I could ask for, definitely recommend QA to other people who are looking for an apprenticeship!

I started off applying to QA because I felt going to university or college at the time wouldn't have been the best decision, everyone feels so pressured to go right after school these days but I decided to head straight into the working world, unfortunately for myself I couldn't do it all alone, I didn't fully know how to get myself out there enough but then I came across QA's website as a recommendation frommy brother who also went through QA. Immediately after submitting details I was contacted and brought into their main office in Glasgow where we went through an induction, I had a great time and it gave me more insight as to what they could do for me. Next thing I know they were immediately set for trying to find me an apprenticeship and only after two weeks of looking and a few interviews here and there, I was in one before I knew it. I was very pleased and actually blown away about how much QA had pushed through to get me my place. They do not waste time getting in contact with you or leave you waiting about. That was over a year ago now and right now I am fully qualified and still working at the same place of business where I started but there are more options for me to take now having the experience and qualification. This has really given me the edge on starting in the working world than going to University or collage could ever do. I really recommend anyone who would rather gain experience than just sitting in a lecture hall for a couple of years. The staff at QA, especially my QA advisor, go above and beyond and make sure you are happy with your placement and also that you get the most out of your apprenticeship. Sorry if this is a long read but considering they did so much for me it would only be fair for me to leave them kind words.Thank you,Max T.

Why is QA providing apprenticeships scheme when they cant even follow simple teaching instructions an guidelines and have ruined many students time, having read other people negative reviews regarding the QA apprenticeships programs i highly recommend QA to stop and start fixing serious issues, you cannot proceed any further without solving minor and major issues that you have received from reviews. Compared to Roll- Royce and other Companies who provide apprenticeships you are not even there you will never will be if you just pretend to sort out issues but in reality you are wasting peoples education time, please take this feedback to improve your programmes scheme and i hope you will take this feedback on board and not just neglect as if it means nothing. Please stop.

I've given QA a one star. Over a year ago I decided to take on an apprenticeship after completing sixth form. QA was my choice of finding an apprenticeship, after 3 months I finally was given a job working for an independent IT Support outsource.I however ran into some issues with my employer, in my first month of my employment my employer went on holiday for two weeks leaving me alone to handle situations I wasn't able to handle on my own. I decided to quit working for that employer. QA then gave me the option of resolving the issue however I did not want this as it's quite obvious and requires a tiny drop of common sense to not leave someone who hasn't worked in the IT industry on his own for two weeks unsupervised. After doing so, QA said that it was my fault I quit my apprenticeship and that they would no longer find me another contract. They also said that I wouldn't be able to find another employer due to the scenario of me quitting being held by other apprenticeships by Just IT etc. I however successfully received an apprenticeship by Just IT and passed.

I don't even know where to begin. They wasted my time and have given me false hope. They voiced out how they were impressed by how I answered their questions in the interview and how I did my research well. I even went into a lot of trouble to meet their demands like converting my qualification(which they said they would handle from the interview but didn't just because they can't be bothered). I still persisted as I am really eager to get on with the scheme. I sent them the documents they need but still haven't heard back from them. It's more than half a year now and still nothing. I read online that they give the best quality of apprenticeships but I seriously doubt that now given how they have treated me and my situation. I seriously hope that they change as it's disheartening to those who are eager to take on an apprenticeship to hope for a better chance of employment. I would have given them half a star if I could.

Cancelled my Apprenticeship a while ago. Awful experience - QA has STAY AWAY" written all over it. Apprenticeship started with QA assigning me Coursework I wouldn't be able to complete as what I did at work was a bit different to what they required me to write about. Assessors here are overloaded with work and will often cancel meetings with you

Absolutely horrendous.I applied for the digital marketing apprenticeship last year in August. It was a completely new course for QA at the time. I got a job in a company within 2 weeks. Most apprenticeships train you once a week. QA will call you in for 5-one week slots for training. So you sometimes go 6 weeks without any training. The lessons are ridiculously unhelpful - reading powerpoints from CIM and other exam boards.Staff are very nice, but unfortunately they cant teach.Qa is very unorganised. On my 5th week of training, 11 months into the programme, It was all about coding (How does coding relate to marketing?) Anyway, after the whole week of coding, they gave us the wrong exam code, so we all failed because we had done an exam for coding masters or something. All in one, I WOULD not recommend QA at all. Offices are nice and staff are nice, but you need more than that to be a training provider.Anything I learnt, I learnt at work, so I thank QA for finding me a good company, but it was all too unorganised and i am in the process of trying to cancel my apprenticeship because I failed the exams (seeing as they didn't teach me much) - oh wait, I have been waiting 2 weeks for a reply about cancelling. Yet another issue.I don't usually write long reviews but I am extremely disappointed that these guys have wasted my past year.
