We got on at one of the stop-on-request stations which was really close to our holiday accommodation. Had a lovely little ride into Wells. Dogs enjoyed it. Much better than the bus. Would love to bring the grandsons - who'd be really excited to have a train stop just for them! Then later we got the bus back because we were after the last train.

Lovely little railway. Small guage but friendly staff. My 4 and 6 year old got to pull the whistle chain, which made their day. The trip was lovely, it did rain and we got quite wet but the scenery made up for it. You finish some way from the town so be prepared to walk, and in general its in need of fome facility maintenance but If steam railways are your thing this is excellent!!

Such good fun, and operated by a great bunch of guys. We loved the train ride down to Walsingham, and spent a few enjoyable hours exploring the small and historic town. The train carriages are small and rattle along the narrow gauge track, taking in lovely countryside and views. The closed carriages are hilariously small, and well worth a try. The fully open carriages put you right in the fresh air, steam, smoke and smells. The whole family loved it.

Great family day out. We travelled from Wells Station. Dog friendly. Plan train times to spend time in Walsingham. Small cafe while you wait and lovely craft shop. Helpful staff.

Small seats and carriages pulled easily by these powerful little locos. All a bit squashed and slightly uncomfortable but an experience. Not one seat spare.

We looked online to know when to get here for the first train departure, and it was quick easy and affordable to get tickets, we used cash. It is absolutely charming and a ride of about 35 minutes. We travelled in an enclosed carriage and on the way back in a semi open one, each time all to ourselves. There is also the more popular option for sitting totally in the open, but take something to keep you warm because at the speed the train goes can make you chilly. We parked at Wells and it was only £2:50 at their car park. We didn't walk all the way into the town but probably less than a mile to the seafront from the station. We will definitely come back.

Great little track between Wells and Walsingham. It's a bumpy but fun journey and a tight squeeze in the seats. Driver and guards are lovely and friendly. Perfect for kids and great way to travel to/from the towns. Both stops aren't too far from the towns and a car park at the Wells end.

Lovely little train ride. Views aren't great due to high hedges but still pleasant on a sunny day. Walsingham is worth the visit and interesting if you like history

Great Trip from Wells next the Sea to Walsingham and back. Claims to be the longest 10 1/4 gauge railway in the world."
