Matthews Restoration

Brian has restored a great deal of furniture for my family now, most recently an antique chest of drawers which was in a fairly sorry state. Each of the pieces he’s worked on over the years have been restored beautifully and my family have returned to Brian time and time again. I am absolutely thrilled with the chest of drawers that he has restored most recently (pictures attached of both before and after!). He has managed to restore it to a condition that I’m sure it hasn’t seen in many years, and absolutely to its former glory. Brian’s considerable skill and craftsmanship are evident in the results of his restoration and I would not hesitate in recommending him and his work to anyone. He is incredibly professional in his dealings - honest, brilliant communication and works to the timeframe and budget he lays out in the initial consultation.

I have had my 1930s staircase and panelling restored and also a bureau that was made by my father in the 1950s. Brian has done an excellent job on both and is a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him unhesitatingly.

I’ve recently had a badly damaged coffee table restored by Brian, and an antique tea table which had old coffee cup marks on it. The restorations are fantastic, am thrilled to bits with the results. Brian picked my furniture up, and delivered both pieces back to me at the time and date as promised.An absolutely brilliant job. Highly recommended, a true professional.
