Ballymastocker Beach
Beautiful and quiet. There's a secluded little cove area that's perfect for sitting with a book. There's bathroom facilities that are surprisingly clean and well-stocked.The beach itself is pretty clean and I didn't even run into any unlifted dog poop, which is a shock.Of course there's always someone who wants to ruin places like this and last time I was there I found a campsite that was littered with beer tins and crisp packets, but on the whole most seem to tidy up after themselves and even on sunny days this beach is relatively empty compared to others.

Beautiful beach near Portsalon, County Donegal. There's parking and toilet facilities beside the beach. It has a lifeguard hut on the beach. Drive up the hill from the beach and you'll get fantastic views of the whole beach at a couple of viewpoints.

Portsalon is the most wonderful beach. I went as a child and returned over 50 years later. The coast road from Portsalon to Ramelton is as picturesque as any in La Spezia in Italy. It's glorious. We went on a very hot, summer's day and there were only 16 people on the beach.

Spent a great couple of hours with the kids on this beach. Really great views across the bay, long quiet beach but unlike the more remote beaches in Donegal it's also got public toilets and a lifeguard was on duty (we were there in August).

Fantastic beach and epic view point. Another must see the Wild Atlantic Way way point.

Stunning beach. Amazing location for the start of the Knockalla stage of the Donegal Rally. Was lucky enough to to have some lovely sun here so the views were fantastic. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Public toilets on-site and loads of parking. Water looked great too but no shorts to hand!!!

Lifeguards were very kind and helpful. Stood on a weaver fish and needed hot water treatment and got stung by a jellyfish on the same foot and needed an icepack. Tip of the day: wear beach shoes while going in the sea/shoreline!
