Pembrokeshire Cruising

Last weekend I did the ICC course with Roland and my Wife did the RYA competent crew course. I really can’t recommend Pembrokeshire Cruising enough. A great location and brilliant tuition. Many thanks.

My son and I have just had a weekend refresher course with Pembrokeshire Cruising to have some relevant training for sailing shorthanded in the Med such as man overboard, stern on berthing, etc with only two on the boat. Lara, our instructor, was brilliant and showed us how to sail safely and enjoyably with a crew of two. Lara is extremely patient, very knowledgeable, has a mega sense of humour and is very good company. All in all, a fantastic weekend. A big thank you to both Lara and Pembrokeshire Cruising. A very enjoyable weekend undertaking the ICC assessment course with a group of friends.Roland’s tuition & guidance was excellent.He is very knowledgeable & experienced.He has a relaxed & encouraging style which creates a good atmosphere for learning.He provided us with all the knowledge,techniques, & competencies to skipper a crew & boat safely & enjoyably.A big thank you from all of us to Roland & Nikki,& we look forward to hiring the fantastic boat for 5 days later in the summer.Cheers !

Pembrokeshire Cruising gave us five days of hard core Competent Crew and Day Skipper training that was unexpectedly amazing. We love being on the water. Roland blended high quality tuition fit for all our individual levels with hard core sailing and enjoyment of the beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast from Dale to Tenby and surrounds. We were able to hone skills in heavy winds which will help us in future similar conditions.We could not have asked for a better five days. It was fun and challenging and we now feel better equiped for our sailing adventures.

Had an excellent week with this cruising company. Roland (skipper) was brilliant - I anticipated the experience and expertise, but the calmness and kindness doesn't always come as well! Highly recommended.

I completed my RYA Day Skipper training with PC. Communication with Nikki was very helpful before the course and when I arrived at the office it felt like a welcoming and inclusive environment. The skipper Charles was really encouraging and explained things in a way that really built my confidence over the week. Would recommend this school to anyone.

I have just completed my RYA Day Skipper course with Chief Instructor Roland Bowen, aboard my own yacht (39’Feeling), along with my son and his girlfriend. Having been a lifelong instructor myself (in a different field), I can honestly say his instruction and manner of delivery were first class! Just returned from the Start Yachting weekend course with Pembrokeshire Cruising and cannot recommend them highly enough. Roland was so calm, supportive and very patient with us. A good teacher will always get the best from their students and Roland is a fantastic instructor. I can’t wait to come back and continue the next yachting course with yourselves. Thank you.
