This is certainly the best fish and chips in our area! We did a little survey of all the local chippies and marked them out of ten and the Oxstalls Fryer was the only one with full marks for fish and chips with mushy peas and curry sauce.Definitely recommended!!!

Had this delivered on Monday, and have had an upset stomach all week since.The food was nothing special, the chips were poor, and they can’t seem to batter things right.And the delivery driver they employ was very strange - just stared and didn’t want to give the order over to me.Don’t think I will come here again

Have used them for years , but hubby came home this evening with the smallest portion of ‘large’ chips ever! Usually a large portion will easily feed three, but there was barely enough to cover the bottom of one plate! A lot of new serving staff recently which might be the reason, but will unfortunately be giving it a miss in the future.

Went in today 12/6/2017 had battered sausage and chips. Was very quick and all was good see picture will go again. The male who served me was very pleasant. Thanks if you read this.

Unfortunately, spoilt experience and so very dissatisfied just how rude, condescending and embarrassing 'the boss' was to his much younger junior and obviously inexperienced female staff member. Spoilt the meal, and I won't return for the absolute arrogance. Yes, she made a simple mistake, perhaps calls for better training from you..speak how you like to be spoken to!
