Ben Baker Design

I found Ben Baker Design randomly on google. I needed to repair a halogen lamp that I have owned for almost 20 years. In fact, this lamp has become quite obsolete and finding parts was going to be difficult. I was very impressed with the outcome of the repaired work after about a couple of weeks. The parts needed were purchased, the lamp was working back to normal and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend the services of Ben Baker Design, very professional. You get updates regarding the progress of your repair all the way.

Ben has been amazing. He fixed our rather expensive ceiling light fitting for a very cost effective price, and supplied us with new bulbs too. I feared we were going to have to say goodbye to our light but Ben has saved it! Ben was very responsive and great to talk to.

Ben was super commited to fixing a pair of Habitat lamps for us, despite the trouble they gave him! It's so much easier to replace broken stuff with new stuff but thanks to skills like Ben's, we don't always have to. Communication was great, highly recommended all round.

Highly recommend Ben Baker Design!!! I had a free standing tall lamp that wasn't working and was about to throw it away which was such a waste and i really didn't want to do it and repair quotes were very expensive. Luckily I came across Ben's details and his workshop very close to my house. I was so happy with his professional, fast and honestly priced repair. This was in summer 2021 and I have recently brought back another two lamps for repair - this time I had very modern bedside lamp that Ben repaired and gave it a new lease of life and saved me from buying new ones. The dimmer and switch were repaired at cost with complete transparency. Thank you Ben for your excellent service. I will certainly come back whenever I have faulty lighting.

I would love to share with you all a very useful person I recently found through NextDoor - BenBaker Design.I had been looking for someone to rewire a vintage table lamp, with no success, when Ben's name came up. He made a great job of rewiring and pat testing the first lamp, very quickly. Another lamp is already with him, and he also repurposes objects to make special one-off lamps.Judging by the responses from the friends I have mentioned this to, there is a real need for this service, so wanted to share.

Ben was a lucky find - my variable dimming lamp had conked out and other electronics shops wouldn't even consider trying to fix it. Took it to Ben who quickly diagnosed the problem, sourced a new part (actually an improvement on the original), fixed and reassembled and let me know my lamp had been restored and was ready for collection. Ben is polite, punctual professional and very good in this field. Cannot recommend enough!

Ben took on two much loved but aged lamps and diagnosed an unrecognised severed earth in one and a wrongly wired plug on another! He righted these wrongs and made them compliant with current specs and fitted a beautiful new 'old gold' flex, so they are revitalised and safe now. The job was reasonably priced and I am very grateful.
