Just a short visit to North Shields Fish Quay. Great history on the old Fort.

Love this place. Full of bars and restaurants and industry and fishing boats. An eclectic mix that works brilliantly

Good all year round, grab a bag of lovely fresh shell fish in the mid morning and just sit watching the world slowly slip by or grab a bag of chips and wait for the sun to go down and watch the lights come on, great for watching the big ships coming in and out of the quay... in the summer there is a small beach which the kids love definitely worth a visit no matter what time of year or time you go it won't matter.

One of my favourite places in the Northeast. A good walk is from the Fish Quays right along to St Mary's lighthouse. 10 miles round trip but plenty to see along the way and lots of nice places for a cuppa and bite to eat there and back. Beaches are so pristine.

You got some sandy beaches and a harbour full of pubs, fish and chip shops and cafes. Plenty of spaces to park. Mobility, family and dog friendly. Can't go wrong!

Not the bustle of ships and Fishwives penny Dabs when the boats came in and two stale buns for a penny it used to be but glorious restaurants, fish n Chipperies and bars have brought the area up no end.Don't miss the little beach and Parkway that is being developed, where this statue resides. Good for kids, good for dogs and good for just sitting down for ten minutes with a bag of chips. What's not to like? Gx

Great views. A fabulous selection of bars restaurants and fish and chip shops set in grand old stone buildings formerly used by the fishing industry. Still a working fish quay. So still a handful of trawlers occupy some of the quay. Keep your eyes peeled for hints of the past. A cool statue and other large displays. Modern roads and traffic measures. Any direction you leave requires climbing a hill. Even if you hug the coast all the way to Tynemouth, or even board the ferry to South Shields admittedly the smallest hill. But well worth the visit to see the old heart of North Shields and probably North Tyneside.

Very Verish! Who watches Vera then knows what I mean... It is the fish quayside where you can buy fresh scampi and other fruits of the sea. The place looks horrible but it is worth visiting in nice weather or in bad weather for more dramatic experience. For fish and chips lovers there's fantastic chippy where you can purchase freshest scampi in whole Britain!
