Lovely quayside to spend the morning. Restaurants and cafes available although not everything was open on 25th April 2023. Lots of joggers and people cycling alongside the promenade. It has that relaxed vibe about it. Perhaps on this sunny day - it exudes that. Lovely place to saunter. We parked on the road which was not a problem at all. Maybe it’s because it’s a working and school day. I’d imagine it’d be packed in the summer.

Brittania boat festival was in the weekend of 23/24th sep 2023 and we were able to watch a live mock cannon shooting. Very loud and very scary in the olden days I'd say!

Beautiful quay, with little shops, bars and restaurants to visit.Views are gorgeous and yo should certainly visit it before or after visiting the cathedral.People can all explore the river on a boat. Please note the little shops close by 4pm.

Great place to walk during the day or at sunset. Lots to see and do. Not sure why the geese and swans are dieing though. Shame

Love this place, places to eat, drink, hire a bike, hire a boat, grab a coffee, sit and relax, fantastic calming vibe here, there is plenty of seating along the Quay, it has some great views and a lot of history. Just go.

It's just a ten minute walk downhill from the cathedral precincts, through an underpass and across a footbridge, to these historic cobbled quays. Came here on a busy bank holiday when the atmosphere was very lively and a band was playing in one of the outdoor cafes, and enjoyed a lovely stroll here. The little craft shops housed in dimly lit cellars cut into the cliffs are worth a look, and there are also antique shops and a couple of pubs. The hand operated cable ferry is a novel way to cross the river, and they also do boat trips from here. There's also a visitor centre in the 17th century Custom House where you can learn a lot about the history of the port. A great place to spend an hour or two.
