Julie Hall Hall: Celebrant

In March of this year we lost our beautiful eldest son to suicide, not an experience to wish on one's worst enemy. We were very lucky to engage Julie to hold our assembled hands through the gruelling crematorium process. She was a very kind, composed and reassuring presence who was hugely appreciated and one who was extremely good in her role.

I am very close to my two daughters and my youngest was turning 50 in May. Being that she is very successful and does not need more 'stuff' I wanted to give her something really special. I commissioned Julie to write a poem for my daughter expressing my love. Both myself and my daughter were truly overwhelmed by the finished outcome. Julie wrote an exceptionally beautiful piece in a concise and very appropriate manner. My daughter was delighted with the gift and i remain forever grateful to Julie for this wonderful keepsake, as a constant reminder to my daughter of my deep love for her. I was so pleased with the result I commissioned Julie to write another poem for my eldest daughters' 54th birthday, a couple of months later. Once again it was a perfectly fitting and touching tribute, met with tears of joy. Julie's pixie like presence brought a light tough to these delightful proceedings. Her dancing words, electric smile, mischievous humour, and precise enunciation gave clarity and rhythm to this special occasion. In her sea blue outfit she recounted the couples history and envisaged the tone of their future together. All of the happy couple's most significant relations were acknowledged, whilst each phase of the ceremony followed smoothly on from its predecessor, coaxed their by Julie's gentle guiding hand.From start to finish Julie celebrated this interesting and complex couple with deft consideration of the subtle nuances involved. A wonderful ceremony and a fabulous celebrant indeed!

We asked Julie to write an original poem for our wedding ceremony. We wanted it to capture the spirit of our relationship and us as individuals. The end result was fantastic, to say the least. Julie was asked at very short notice to be the celebrant at my wife Karlas, funeral, and what a fine job she did!! Julie is an amazing celebrant! I recently attended a ceremony of hers which was both extremely humourous and romantic. It was obvious she had got to know the bride and groom really well and represented them very authentically. She has a real talent with words and wrote a great speech, and was unflustered while the audience were either laughing or making comments. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her.

Julie was our chosen Celebrant at my wedding last weekend. To prepare for the ceremony, She asked my wife & I lots of questions to ensure she managed to convey our emotions, and tell our story during our Humanist wedding. She also worked with both of us to integrate our vows into the ceremony without elements being repeated... Julie was the celebrant at a wedding in our friend’s garden. She was brilliant, so natural. I would 100% recommend her. She is warm and welcoming and would put any nervous couples at ease. She was great at judging the audience too.

Julie is an exceptionally talented poet and performer. So personal, Individual, joyful and funny. She wrote and spoke my husbands 50th birthday words with such pose and timing - using all the words she had collated from family and friends. She is unique and one of a kind - highly recommend x
