Really unhappy because I've just had an op for pfo closure here at the Holly Suite and the nurse on our ward although a lovely nurse was very unwell and as a result she has given myself and my mum who's near 66 years old her illness, sadly because of the nurses unprofessional behaviour my mum hasn't been able to visit her dying brother either. The nurse was coughing and sneezing constantly and then checking my incision area etc regularly so has totally compromised my recovery, I feel very ill and struggling extra because of the op, it's shocking that patients are being compromised like this. I was told by her she felt very unwell since recently coming to UK from India and wanted to be at home in bed but couldn't because she's already had days off so won't be allowed and another subsequent nurse on the phone agreed and said yes they have to come in even if they are sick and even sick with Covid if they've already had days off, I said that's not right and she agreed but said all I can do is I'd have to complain to the chief executive for them but she gave no apology, she didn't offer to go the extra mile for me to arrange a home visit, said go to your doctors or walk in centre even though I've called within the allotted 7 days after the procedure, but I can't at the moment because I'm too dizzy and with head and chest pain to walk, I'm annoyed she isn't taking this more seriously and is just basically telling me to go to Gp and not dealing with anything their end. I said I understand nurses don't make these rules but they should be at the very least keeping their masks on permanently if they are unwell like she was, especially on wards after operations for stroke patients like myself. My phone automatically keeps calls logged and recorded so I'm feeling like uploading to YouTube or to other sources like the Echo to prove she said this that nurses have to come in even if very unwell and with Covid because I've been through enough illness and poor treatment to last several lifetimes, this is not something I should have to complain about nor suffer.Update, I've since had to go to hospital in the end, my GP sent me to AMU as he said I had an elevated News score so maybe had sepsis and although not sepsis in the end I was told I have a viral and possible bacterial chest infection so I'm now on antibiotics and feeling even worse. A PALS lady phoned me up yesterday to get this info and apologized on their behalf but said she'd write to the ward manager to contact me but as of yet no one has, I'm documenting all this incase I take things further because the PALS team said that a) Nurses have to come in with Covid only if they don't have symptoms not if sick, this is not what the nurses told me which as I say I have recorded. b) The ward manager should have sent her home and c) She agreed that the nurse should of at least been wearing a mask at all times especially when in close contact with me.I notice no one is replying to disatisfied patients, this is not a good sign as it means people are being ignored, a sign of a good business/service are those that acknowledge complaints too.

Outstanding! I had a 5 day stay on Birch ward in Liverpool heart and chest, and I will always be so grateful for the care & treatment I received here after my multiple cardiac arrests in December 2022. I'm 26 years old, had never had to stay a night in hospital before, equally had never had any surgery or even stitches for that matter, so I was very frightened at first. I had to have an ICD fitted which was very daunting... however all consultants, surgeons, nurses, doctors, chefs, porters, cleaners... every individual there where friendly, informative and reassuring. Nothing was too much to ask, everything was pristine, the food was incredible and they cater for all dietary requirements with plenty of options. I felt very comfortable, safe and assured during my entire time at LHCH. AMAZING!

Been a patient here for 25 yrs plus and had sevral heart attacks and 10 pacemakers.1 st pace maker op in 1999 totall went wrong.lost the screwws in my chest.had to get magnet to find them, all pace makes have been infected or rejected last one put in by wythenshaw in 2012 in my stomach but all the leads from prev pacers have been left in by broadgreen,,,keep ringing pain clinic,i had appt they said in feb 2023 but no letter,i was then refered to blood presure clinic,dr hammond as in pain clinic, the two drs in this clinic a few yrs ago where abusive to me dr hammond saying i need a kick arse literaly for my health issues and mentally,dt Tesang asked what is like having a low iq,as only have an iq of 60/70,i told him,he had better read up on his aspergers/autism as my iq is 178,yes i have aspergers/autism but no need to treat me like a child whos thick, verty bad manners, where the dr didnt have my current meds,,but theyve nvr changed in yrs,was sent sent by gp to her and shes nvr replied,I asked the respite and southport hospitals to sort out my appts whilst inpatient in southport, which they said theyd do but never done by s/port hosp or repite home, even tho i went on at them daily.I had angios dome and angioplasty in 2017 by dr palmer, when ive asked again lately,he wont do it,had another heart attack in july this year, told have ever been told theres nothing eklse to be done,i replied dr menim said couldnt have a heart transplant.at that she nr enough chucked me out of the bed and told to go home.just shocking way nhs has gone, terriible, only 2 stars for appts,,but noothings ever sorted. I gert blamed half the time when i dont even know whats going on,terible.Ive had two triple bypasses at wythen shaw that both went wrong too,nhs are not gods as theryd like you to think they are and be treated so,Just been to dr luthers and dr fiends for treatment,it was july only one has replied by letter,I give up,think once you turn 62 they arebnt interested anymore and i had my fist heart attack, misdiagnosed at 23 and then 30...they think they ythey just want you to die off in the end
