The Chips, Spam fritter & Curry was decent, nothing outstanding, but annoyingly all the outside bins, by the seating provided, were overflowing with debris. Empty chip boxes piled high, teetering, with zero room to use. It's obviously a busy popular place, so maybe more routine checks from the staff, to ensure customers can leave their waste chip trays would be appreciated.

Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. The Cod and Chips were the best I've ever tasted. Bit of a wait because they cook the fish after you order it. It's well worth the wait.

Very overpriced for what is essentially a fish finger. Avoid the chips as they are very dry. Very disappointed tbh, especially as we travelled a decent distance to go there.

Great fish and chips to take out. Piping hot and so fresh. You can sit inside if you want and there are some picnic tables outside if weather is good. Car parking also available.

Not what is used to be. They regularly serve over cooked dry food. My fishcake was like a plank of wood. Chips not too bad but still seemed as though they had been sat out of the fryer for a while. Need to get some quality control here, not worth going at the moment

Great little find on a wet and not so wonderfull day.3 fish and chips and a cheesy chip's with beans later we were fueled up and back out to find the graves of Compo and Cleggy.

Small portions for big money. Seen bigger fish at the fun fare. Fish was tasty but chips were very dry. Very disappointed. Probably won't go again.

Good fish & chip place (pardun the pun) compo'sFrom the TV sitcom I watched as a kid. My slight gripe was not enough memorabilia on the walls to do with last of the summer wine, if I was a tourist I would be disappointed. Nice and clean, table legs need a polish. But decent fish & chips and a great view. Be aware parking is limited, you might need to park on the street.

Ive been coming here for 10+ years, this place has gradually changed for the worse. The prices have gone truly ridiculous: £16.50 for a SMALL fish n chips with gravy (literally a splash) + chips gravy n sausage, which was bone dry over cooked see pics.The last couple of times ive been had a fair few hard chips and gravy that was thick as jelly.Prices are a joke honestly sad to say i wont be coming back here ever again.
