I would recommend avoiding using them as there always the possibility of what has happened to me happening to you.I made an order and when the parcel arrived I found that three items where missing , I tried to contact then through e-mail to which i got no response, I used the phone number on there contact page which was no longer in use and I also used the phone number provided to you when doing a google search of the company and still had no could not get in contact with them. After this I took my claim up with Paypal and not even they could get any response.It really is not worth the risk or the trouble of buying from them, even if there is something on their you want I recommend going else where to buy it.

This is a tricky one: If he has the items and sends them out you'll be very happy as he has keen prices, packs very well and on things he actually posts, rapid delivery.On the other hand if he forgets, mislays or has sold something he doesn't have, just ask for a refund asap- He doesn't do customer service, never replies to mails or even picks up the phone.I've had 50/50 luck so far, direct orders from the website were all shipped and arrived quickly regardless of cost. Ebay purchases just were never sent ( tip if using ebay use click & collect , that way he has to prove he sent them) and after a few days, he simply refunded the money so no real complaint there just the minor annoyance of raising a dispute and of course his only reply will be a refund.If he has something you want and is at the right price, go for it and if it doesn't arrive, ask for a refund ( use a credit card!) direct , from your card company or ebay- just don't expect any sort of communication if there are problems. My experience is he always either delivers or refunds for no shows so I happily use him when he has something I want with no expectation of any communication if there are problems, just money back.

Awful , 2/3 items arrived with no explanation ,as to the missing item , no invoice etc. After a couple of emails I was told the missing item was on back order and would be arriving soon. I waited a week with no success and then asked for a refund. From then on I got no replies to any emails at all. Eventually I referred the matter to Pay Pal and was given a full refund as even they could get no response at all from the shop. Not a clever way to do business as I was refunded for my entire purchase and not the one thing I originally asked for a refund of. Appalling service and definitely not recommended

Order placed on a Sunday evening, order received Wednesday morning. During this time 5 emails from them notifying me of progress. Order included several different items - aftermarket parts, decals and a couple of kits - it arrived complete & well packaged including, in this case, free delivery.So... I have to say really good experience, competitive pricing, good comms and very rapid delivery.I recognise other people's experience may differ which is disappointing. I think we always want suppliers to offer a great service, deal with any problems professionally and thrive and prosper as a consequence. Hopefully MH can address the issues where they may have fallen short.

I do not recommend this company.Another bad review because of the same experience as many others.Can anyone take their trading address from their website (Unit 2, Bank Works, Warren Street, Stoke on Trent, ST3 1QB) and then locate the premises on Google Maps?I made a purchase through eBay (because they offered the lowest price of anyone) and it did not arrive. Model Hobbies Ltd ignored repeated e-mails from me asking for either a replacement item or a full refund. Only after opening a formal complaint through PayPal/eBay did I receive a refund.It's not all bad though: After a long period of time I'd forgotten about that bad experience and forgotten all about Model Hobbies Ltd and lost track of their name amongst all the other traders on eBay. I tried to buy an item from them again on eBay (tempted again by the lowest price) but got a message saying they do not accept bids from me. I messaged them to ask why and they reminded me of my previous bad experience, the negative feedback I'd left and of my vow to not buy from them again. Wow, that is impressive! I am so grateful that they reminded me of their bad past and, through blocking my purchase, prevented me form having another bad one. Thank you Model Hobbies Ltd! I am very happy to never again give you my money and I recommend that nobody else buys from you too.

Dreadful... just dreadful. Ordered a model for my dad for his birthday and despite placing it in good time, it never arrived. Tried emailing them and they gave no explanation. Asked them to re-send the model; no reply. Eventually they just refunded me without any explanation. Never using them again! This isn’t the first time these guys have bungled my order. Abysmal.

I can't understand the negative reviews I've seen for this company,I've dealt with Model Hobbies on a fairly regular basis for around seven or eight years now, and I have never had a problem. Orders have been processed quickly, and communication has been very good, informing me when the order has been dispatched.Depending on the day an order is placed, I normally receive the goods within two days, and even orders placed on a Friday afternoon have arrived on Monday morning.I normally order 'on line', but have also ordered via 'phone, when the staff have been friendly and helpful.Overall, service, prices and delivery are very good, and I can recommend this company without reservation.Note that those who have experienced problems with goods sent to Italy - it seems that the loss or non delivery of parcels to Italy is common, as I have seen a number of 'on line' outlets who are no longer willing to send to Italy, due to parcels going missing. Doesn't take much imagination to figure out what happens at 'the other end' !

Honestly. I am just a normal buyer. Nothing to gain by adding this.....I bought a revell model 1/400 titanic from model hobbies. After purchasing and with horror I read some reviews (i should have read up before purchase).....anyway I felt zero confidence in my choice after reading..........however. 6 days after ordering my model arrived well packaged. I had a great experience with this company and felt compelled to write a review due to all the bad stories. I will definitely use model hobbies again.

I strongly advise not using this company. I ordered with Paypal and the order did turn up and they waited for me to file a dispute with Paypal. Then they offer to send another parcel, but to authorize that they want you to close the dispute. I stupidly did this (have used this company before with a credit card and had no problems with them), but then of course nothing turns up and now you have lost your money and can't claim anything.Even if you have used this company before don't touch them as they are ripping lots of people. Poeple like this that can't make money legitimately need to be shut down!

AVOID!!! Customer service is non existent. I ordered 2 model kits which although arrived quickly 1 kit was damaged. I sent several emails which were all ignored and their phone lines are closed. Luckily I paid with paypal so got my money refunded.
