Drumin Castle
Fairly small ruin with only a board or two to read. Worth a visit for 20 minutes if you find yourself in the area but don't go out of your way. There are plenty of other castles nearby to explore as well! We longer (10 minute) walk around to get up the hill is enjoyable.

Drumin Castle
Drumin Castle is stunning! gardens are very well kept. The walk up there is either by some steep stairs or a lovley walk around windy paths in the hills (well worth it if you have the time) up the steps your there in minutes but walking round takes about 15/20 depending on your ability. When there you can go into the gardens at the rear which has some lovley fruit trees and is very well kept then walk round to the front of the castle where you can see the remaining building. The stairs were closed when we went so we couldn't go upstairs but you can still see most the castle from ground level. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

Drumin Castle
A castle in ruins, this is one of the several castles in the Scottish Highlands. The way up is a gentle slope, and green and verdant. There is an alternative path that goes up and down by a staircase. It is to the left of the parking lot.The castle itself is quite unassuming. You can go up one level by a flight of narrow stairs.

Drumin Castle
An interesting free ruined castle to visit. The castle sits above the confluence of the Avon and Livet rivers. There is not loads to see however it is good for a short visit. There is a short (500m) circular walk, access to an upper platform and the lower vaulted basement, there is also a very nice orchard 'walled garden' to the south side of the castle. The circular river walk which sets off north along the River Livet is very pleasant and makes for a nice extended visit.

Drumin Castle
Delightful little spot, what's left of the Castle is quite small, but you can explore, the setting of the castle is in a stunning area of natural beauty. There is a walled garden next to the castle where you can sit, the sun was out and was very peaceful.

Drumin Castle
Not suitable for the less abled as castle is located up a hill which can be accessed either by a path or some steps. Location is lovely and the castle is well looked after.

Nice walks round the Glenlivet estate but it's hardly worth the stair climb to this castle. It's nowt special at all I wouldn't bother unless ywou just like climbing stairs. There isn't even a decent view cos of the trees and railing.

Cracking wee tower castle well worth a visit. A real ruin and one of the Wolf of Baednochs lairs too!

Drumin Castle
Another ruin we happened on our way somewhere else! The walk from the carpark takes minutes if you take the steps and we were surprised to find this castle here! We spotted deer on our way out of the walled garden / community orchard and then decided to walk the signposted Smugglers Trail which took us through some woods, spotting more deer, then along the river where we saw 2 heron, ducks and a buzzard. We ended up not making it to Grantown after all as we then saw a further Smugglers Trail sign which led us to another castle ruin at the distillery!
