We intend this house to be our ‘forever home’ and wanted to invest in getting the layout, style and fittings that would suit our lifestyle and still look good in 10 years’ time. We worked with James to select some modern lighting that looks contemporary and timeless and incorporated LED and new technology solutions that are low maintenance and that won’t become obsolete any time soon. We also wanted some statement lighting for our living spaces and areas we use for entertaining. The lighting really complements the new rooms and as well as creating great accents and ambience, we love seeing the reactions of our family and friends to the aptly named ‘wow’ features.We would highly recommend working the Light My Space team. We knew lighting in our home was going to be a challenge as we had differently shaped rooms, different ceiling heights and sloped ceilings to contend with. James gave us great advice and got us really thinking about the use of the rooms. Armed with a better understanding of our space we were able to make several changes to our building works without disrupting the project timeline. James introduced us to lighting solutions perfect for all our spaces and we now have a home – and lighting scheme - that really works for us

I contacted James regarding the lighting in my office. In winter, I have a ghostly pallor on Zoom. He asked some really great questions and recommended I do two tests to identify the cause. Thanks to James I avoided unnecessary expense on lighting as it was the Webcam that needed changing (despite it being a recommended Webcam). Great service and would highly recommend them as being very knowledgeable and generous with their time. I will definitely be returning for any future lighting needs.

Our new open plan kitchen and living space needed lots of lights and switches, and the last thing I wanted was to be dazzled by lines of downlights. James helped me choose fittings that made the room bright where I needed it. Initially, I was concerned there might be too many but I can now see what I’m doing… and I love it.The custom built-in led lighting provides an ambient glow and I can combine all of my lights, under cabinets, pendants and dining/living lights into scenes with BLE (Bluetooth) non-wired switches. The lighting and option for switches to turn on different combinations of lights takes our open plan living to a new level of fabulousness.

We were recommended to light MySpace when we decided to refurbish our office in 2019 and were so impressed with James's advice about the various lighting options available to us and the way in which he could source these and coordinate with the electrician who completed the installation. I can honestly say it has transformed our office from a rather dull building that looked sometimes shut from the outside to a light space with really clear displays that show off our clients properties beautifully.In addition to the advice about lighting, James gave advice about sectioning parts of our office and how we could create different spaces and if I was ever cynical about such industries, I cannot convey how impressed I have been. When the work was completed he visited to check the quality of workmanship and that we were happy with the work and did so with a natural enthusiasm that was most welcomed.

James at Light My Space has transformed our kitchen and made it a place I can enjoy again. Our old lighting was not only dim and ugly, but the glare made it uncomfortable (and sometimes painful) for my eyes. James has put in a modern and subtle alternative and I love it - it has totally changed the whole room. Light My Space showed us that we don’t have to compromise on lighting. Even with challenges such as ours, where our low ceilings, a lack of natural daylight and a need for high quality, controllable light they found a great solution. We couldn’t be happier with the result. Did I say how much I loved my new lighting?

We had been unhappy with our lighting for several years. I wanted more light in our kitchen and downstairs spaces, however, my wife thought it was too bright, and it seemed impossible we could both get what we wanted. James was most helpful and listened to our individual concerns, and explained that the overly-bright appearance was due to high glare from the ceiling spotlights, but that we actually had very low, and uneven light - especially in the kitchen at worktop level.Light My Space have transformed our living spaces and our new Bluetooth mesh control system means we can activate, set and dim any, or all, of our lighting from a simple, cable-free switch or from our phones. Our lighting looks fantastic and we have been telling everyone about it as we are really excited and impressed with it, and also with Light My Space that recommended and sourced suitable lights for us. My only regret is not doing this (and calling Light My Space) sooner!

We needed lighting at home so that we didn’t have to compromise what was required for our expanding online networking business and having elegant and cosy lighting to relax together as a family. We now have some stunning new lighting in our living and dining areas that are all adjustable, controllable and with programmable scenes so we can change the whole ambience immediately. You will be amazed at the difference well-designed lighting can make… we certainly were, and we are loving it!

Initially sceptical, after I worked with James, I now totally get the value of good lighting and design. I had a complex space and was struggling to work out what was required. James introduced me to aspects of lighting and options I hadn’t considered and a BLE control solution that I absolutely love. Light My Space listened to and advised me and showed exceptional attention to detail. They really are experts and I’m looking forward to the next phase of our remodelling and seeing what we’ll achieve next.

We asked James to perform a minor miracle and get our garden party-ready for a family gathering in just a few weeks. We were able to get most of the lights installed in time, and the garden looked awesome and was a huge success. We were delighted with the service and are very grateful to James that we managed to get as much done as we did in a very short time. It didn’t feel rushed and we didn’t have to compromise on the quality of lights or the design.Shortly afterwards, the remaining lights were in and the garden looks amazing … from all the different viewpoints and scenes. We are really, really happy and I’d thoroughly recommend James and Light My Space.
