SIXT Car Hire - Glasgow Central Station

Lovely and very nice guys, so friendly. Gave me a great upgrade for free after trying to charge me three times what I had originally paid lol.But... they're wolves in sheep's clothing. if you don't take their high priced insurance, a day or two later you get an email detailing the damage they've found. I took extensive photos and videos which I sent back to them and didn't receive further correspondence. Took me quite a long time and I waited nervously for their response for a few months.Use these car companies at your own risk but do you use 'Direct Car Excess' or similar company to reduce the risk at a much more reasonable price.

The team are great and special mention to Jordan as he resolved an issue with my booking which involved an error from an auto to manual by system error. The staff in Glasgow are amazing and ensure that all customers are looked after. This is great place to hire a car in Glasgow. I will be back again in October thanks guys

We use to frequently rent cars for our holidays. This time we wanted to try Sixt, thinking it was a more premium" choice. Well we were wrong. We booked the car online and did a prepaid for a 8 days rent (with a pick up at 10 a.m and a returning at 12 a.m). The journey was great and the returning was easy. The surprise was when we discovered they took us money for one more day of renting on our 300£ deposit whithout advising us ! Because of the 2 hours of difference between the time of pick up and the returning... No one told us and it was

We rented a car for 3 days. We booked the car online and had to register with our age. Once we got to the location they suddenly asked us to pay an extra 180 pounds because one of our drivers was too young. Even tough we registered our age a couple of months prior and they didn’t mention this extra charge. We rented a good car, but after our rent period we received pictures of damage to the car we didn’t cause. We explained we didn’t cause te damage. It must have happened after we put the car back in the q park. Instead of a reply we got a 1000 pound fine to make up for the damage we didn’t cause. Will never go back to sixt

Excellent staff and service. All very helpful and friendly. Prompt at responding to queries/issues. Best experience of car rental companies to date. I will certainly use again.

First and last time renting from SIXT. Hard sell to upgrade to another car (twice the original price). The location is in a car park so you have to do a visual damage check alone on your phone, underground with no signal. At drop off, the person I gave my keys to didn't offer to do a vehicle check, just said I'd get an email within 10 minutes. I actually had an email the next day saying there was extra damage to a hubcap but no explanation of what happens next. They selected the wrong drop off location so I had extra charges on an invoice and I had to email the branch and eventually call customer services to fix.

CLIENTS: Google gives a totally wrong address at Gordon street, do not loose time looking for this non-existing office, the actual location is 101 Waterloo Street.SIXT: please correct the Google Maps to information in order to avoid further misleading people.

Do not rent cars here. A simple 3 day car rental has turned into a nightmare. My credit card has been charged 5 separate amounts totalling around $4000 Canadian dollars and exceeded my credit limit. It should have been $1033 for the rental and the deposit. That’s it! Now there’s no recourse. They won’t help. They say I need to contact my bank. I’ve provided them with screen shots of the multiple charges to my card. It’s infuriating. Very awful experience.

Great experience with Sixt at Glasgow Central Station last week - an easy process the whole way through and a brand new Mini Cooper which was a dream to drive during our trip. The service was friendly and professional, particularly from Sanjeev who explained everything clearly and was attentive in his customer service. Other staff were friendly too, wishing us a good trip when passing through the office during check in and even making suggestions for where to go and what to see. Google Maps says the office is in Glasgow Central Station but it's not - it's just down the road in Waterloo St. I would recommend to friends and family, and wouldn't hesitate to use Sixt again based on my experience here.

I always use SIXT when coming into Glasgow station . Not only is it convenient and very reasonably priced the staff are so helpful and make the experience so easy. Even carried my 30kg suitcase down 2 flights of steps for me today without me even asking
