The incredible ladies at Velvet birdcage brought all my dreams to life!!The design process was so fun, from choosing the fabrics layering the colours and placing the laces. Not only did they do the wedding dress, but also the flower girls and bridesmaid two piece as well. Trust in the process you wont regret it..... absolute perfection.

Amy is truly an angel on earth! the ladies at velvet bird cage are just what i needed after a few awkward wedding dress fittings and a sweaty few others. Amy made me feel right at ease, and understood my style and vision for the wedding the proceeded to make the most beautiful thing i will ever wear in my life!i wish i'd started here first! The process was so easy and i was in constant contact with Amy about ideas and changes. START HERE, you will not regret it. Amy is honest, hilarious, creative and just all round a good person to know- especially when i forgot to buy a veil one week before the wedding, Amy was quick with the solutions and short cuts.She made this part of the wedding planning so easy and effortless and flattery will get you everywhere-Just a GIGANTIC thank you and if i get married again, shell be the first person i contact!

Not only are Amy and Katie the absolute best at what they do, with their creative visions and the ability to bring what the client wants to life, meeting them and having them design a dress tailored just for you is an amazing experience. I loved every part of having my dress made from the drawing process, fabric choices and final fittings, my dress was the dream! The moment you walk in to Velvet Birdcage and the creative process begins. you know you are in the safest of hands and you will feel a million dollars in your expertly designed creation! These ladies are the best in the biz, I can guarantee you that!

I cannot recommend velvet birdcage enough! Amy was so welcoming. I had an idea of what I wanted, Amy made suggestions of changes and ideas that would suit and compliment my shape. She sourced the lace for my dress to match what I wanted.The end result was perfect, I felt comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day. She also made my bridesmaid dress which also looked amazing. She has great knowledge and is very talented. It was worth every penny. I have already recommended velvet birdcage to future brides.

I had been to high Street wedding dress shops, but this is different! As soon as I tried on Amy's design I knew it was the one for me. Each fitting was really relaxed, we had lot's of laughs. Highly recommended. I felt amazing in my dress and everyone commented, it was really special.

The dress was everything.Why buy something off the shelf when you can get your dream dress made for you; to fit perfectly! And within budget too.Gorgeous boutique shop ;With so many dresses and accessories to help find the perfect style / design.Amy couldn’t have been more accommodating- with all the necessary last minute adjustments in the final few days before the big day.I’m already planning to renew my vows in a few years - to commission a new and different dress from her! And I cannot wait.

Velvet Birdcage was recommended by a friend who had used them help her design her wedding dress. I was so excited after my first visit with Amy. She recommended I tried on a bit of everything and then we could create a dress based around all the different elements I loved. We created an amazing dress and each fitting was full of fun and laughter. I got married in lockdown but had my big celebration this year so wanted to change my dress slightly and this was no issue. Amy helped me to create a slightly new look. I highly recommend Velvet Birdcage to everyone- it was worth travelling from Bath for my dress. Amy made me feel amazing and confident

My wedding dress was perfect and I felt incredible - it was so much better than I could have ever imagined! Katie and her sister are absolute magicians when it comes to wedding dress designs. It felt extra special having been made for me - and such a value for money for this and the freedom to design my own dress. It was also always such a nice experience being with them and I couldn’t recommend them enough! I’m the 4th person in my family to go to Velvet Birdcage for either bridal or bridesmaid dresses and no doubt I won’t be the last ❤️
