Pure Dog Adventure Training

We have recently started attending Scent Class with our newly rehomed Labrador, Teasel. We knew Laura was the trainer for us because of how lovely and positive she is towards our other dogs (who both attend sports class). Our new Labrador was previously a working dog, is quite nervous, and can be a bit of a grump! Laura suggested a complete change of 'hobby' and Scent has worked really well for us. The dogs work individually, work hard but also have plenty of brain breaks. Laura's positivity, and the other lovely people that attend the class, put me (and Teasel) at ease immediately. We have being doing some practice at home and I certainly am seeing a happier side to Tea - she LOVES it. Scent is amazing for anxious dogs that want to use their brain - and us humans who want a post-training peaceful evening!!

Bess, relatively new to me rescue dog, and I have thoroughly enjoyed our first training classes. Both my mobility issues and Bess's needs were met in practical ways that ensured we participated and enjoyed ourselves.With Bess making progress and gaining in confidence.We shall be going back to continue our training journey as soon as we can.I would definately recommend Pure Dog Training to help with training for your dog/s.

Laura gives so much help and encouragement from the very first scentwork lesson and she is the gift that just keeps giving. All of my dogs have enjoyed their time at scentwork adventure training and it has been amazing to watch their confidence growing during that time. We have been there since the start of her scentwork classes and sincerely hope to be there for many more years to come. I'd recommend that everyone give Pure Dog Adventure Training a try ..... there will be something to 'fit' you and your dog there.

My gorgeous Willow started to come to Laura when she was just a little pup. I realised I had accidentally over socialised her and she believed every dog was her best friend which resulted in poor recall and a safety issue. I went to Laura to help neutralise Willow around other dogs (which has worked wonders) but we soon realised what a wuss she was (Willow, not Laura). I started taking Willow to sports classes which at first I thought was mad because she didn’t have the confidence to do any of the things compared to all the other dogs BUT Laura gave us all the tools to build her confidence and complete different tasks. Never would I have imagined Willow retrieving a dummy, going through hoops or even jumping on unfamiliar objects but she does all of this now! I couldn’t recommend Laura enough! She has such patience for dogs and humans and wants what’s best and the dogs to be enjoying it every step of the way!Thank you Laura!

We needed a proper trainer for our very driven working spaniel with ADHD. Laura teaches long term interaction reward based training, 18 months on we have a hyper spaniel who is fully under control, and loves his work and scent training. Always on hand for advice via social media or WattsApp. A working dogs needs are different to other dogs, Pure Dog has the programme nailed perfectly.Thanks Laura

My Springer Spaniel Alan & I have recently started Scent Detection classes with Laura. Alan’s favourite thing in the world is ‘Find it’ and he loves to go litter picking in the forest, so we wanted to expand on this and we are over the moon we did.He’s picked it up so quickly and actually I’m more the student now. I love learning new things each week from Laura (and Alan).I leave every Monday evening with a super tired spaniel and a huge smile on my face. Not only has Alan learned a new skill, I’m finding he's more obedient and we’ve formed a much closer bond.

I have attended Laura’s Sports Class for as long as I can remember now! I take both my 2 year-old and 10 month old labs. Both of my dogs LOVE their class, LOVE Laura and LOVE learning - so we think this is the perfect trainer and class for us! Laura is fun, relaxed, positive and thinks of different approaches to challenges, enabling everyone to set their dog up for success. In class, we do a mixture of gundog activities, confidence building, hoopers and general obedience. I often get complimented on how well behaved my dogs are in public, and I genuinely think the steadiness and obedience we learn in class is one of the reasons for this. Laura is certainly stuck with myself, Grouse and Scout and we would all 100000% recommend her to anyone!!

We have a boarder beagle pup who needs extra stimulation and to use her natural instincts. Scent training is perfect for that.Em loves working with Laura.Laura's knowledge of training dogs is second to none and her gentle methods mean humans and animals adore her.
