I've been so lucky to attend several of the workshops that are on offer.I love the way Dr Sands brings you out of your zone to explore and be present. The whole approach is one of love, appreciation, awareness and care. You're invited in to the safe space that she's created to be creative, free and reconnect with yourself.I would highly recommend Mindfulness Skills 4 Life to anyone and everyone. It's so important for each of us to take time for ourselves.

Creatively Calm - Mindfulness Doodling and Clay WorkshopsI attended the above workshops earlier this year as I was looking to do something creative to help me manage my anxiety. The workshops were a great way of taking time out for myself to spend time with like minded people and do a mindful activity. I was initially wary as I don't consider myself to be creative/artistic but Sands made me realise that you don't need to be creative to take part in the workshops.Sands was such a warm and welcoming host, instantly making people feel calm and settled. She took an interest in everyone's creations, sharing her own ideas and and gently encouraging us to do the same. Sands radiates positivity and you come away from the sessions feeling that bit lighter than when you arrived.I would highly these sessions to anyone looking to do something a bit creative, people looking to meet like minded people, people struggling with loneliness, isolation, their mental health or people who just want to try something a little bit different - you won't regret it!

Sandra is a neighbour and I was invited to join her mindfulness clay cafe. As I had never had any experience of working with clay before I was intrigued but apprehensive. However, I needn’t have worried as Sands was an excellent teacher and helped us to gain confidence even at the first lesson. The ambience was relaxed, cheerful and friendly and I was amazed how creative I could be with a lump of clay. I also appreciated the coffee and home made cakes - what a bonus indeed ! I was also intrigued as to how Sands highlighted comparisons between our endeavours and real life experiences. I personally found our sessions uplifting and interesting. I hope to join her next clay cafe (depending on the provision of the home made cakes, of course) and would certainly recommend it.

I was quite daunted at the thought of meeting Dr Sands and a group of new people, but she made me feel relaxed and at ease from the start. She has a warmth in her personality that makes everyone feel special, I have also learnt that there isn't a right or wrong way of doodling what ever you do, your artistic personality shines through. Don't think about doing doodling, come along it's brilliant

CREATIVELY CALM: Mindful Doodling and Clay WorkshopsSandra is so friendly and welcoming and brings together people from all different backgrounds for an hour and a half of relaxation, creativity and calm.I’m no artist but it turns out that you don’t need to be - Sandra provides ideas for a few simple designs each week and, from those, masterpieces are created!I love the escapism that these sessions provide - the time absolutely whizzes by but I leave each week feeling thoroughly de-stressed and having learned a little more about myself.I’d recommend Sandra’s workshops to anyone that feels a little frazzled and struggles to prioritise their own mental wellbeing. The sessions are a fantastic break from the daily grind and also provide great tips for incorporating mindfulness into your daily routine. Thank you Sandra! xx

CREATIVELY CALM: Mindful doodling and clay workshops -I have learnt so much and developed personally in terms of being in the present and focussing on the here and now. Who knew the practice of mindful doodling could create an inner calm helping the mind to be still.I loved the clay work shops as they enabled me to be creative and engrossed in something I enjoy.Sandra is one of the kindest and valuing people I have met and this is a theme for the wonderful group members. No judgements, everyone is encouraged to be unconditional in their interactions.I find I now know how to slow my thoughts and relax better by focussing on mindful activity which has been invaluable for my well being.

Creatively Calm: mindful doodling and clay workshops.I have attended 11 of the doodling and clay workshops and have enjoyed every minute of them. Sands is a great host, she is knowledgeable, kind, welcoming and enthusiastic. You don’t need to be creative or an artist to enjoy the workshops, they brought out a creative side that I didn’t know I had! All of the other attendees are friendly and very supportive to each other. I would highly recommend these workshops, they create a sense of calm and time just disappears…..the workshops go too quickly I could keep doodling all day!

I attended a CREATIVELY CALM: mindful doodling workshop and can’t recommend these sessions enough! Having not drawn in years it was nice to get in the zone and spend time to be creative. Dr Sands is so lovely, as was everyone in the group. I left feeling really calm and with the confidence to doodle more :) looking forward to attending again at some point.

CREATIVELY CALM - Wow, where to start? My daughter & I attended two sessions with Dr Sands at mindfulness skills for life, first was a doodling session and the second was clay. We throughly enjoyed both. I was skeptical about going along especially with my daughter who often feels uncomfortable in group settings. Dr Sands & the whole group actually were so warm, friendly & welcoming I was instantly at ease. We've taken so much from just two sessions it's hard to fit it all in here. Somewhat basic skills for example really looking at what surrounds you, taking ideas for doodles, using our senses. Within minutes, sort of unintentionally your mind feels rested from the usual day to day what's for tea, I must do this etc etc. I've mentioned these sessions to many already & I would highly recommend to anyone that's considering it. Thank You Dr Sands, really hope to come along to future sessions. X
