As we walked in the attendant (probably the owner) couldn't be bothered to get off his phone to greet us or offer any assistance. They have some interesting items for sale but we won't be going there again.

A beautiful shop full of a variety of high quality goods. The service was excellent and Jason was happy to spend time chatting. It was a lovely friendly experience. Loved the gallery upstairs with a fantastic exhibition of stunning paintings.

Burford Antiques in Castle Douglas is a wonderful antiques shop, full of unusual goodies for collectors of all ages and tastes.The stock is of high quality and is continually changing so avid collectors need to visit more often to find that unusual item.Well worth a visit if you are in town. You can't miss it. It sits at the top of the town across the road from the library.I have bought many special antiques from Jason and Kirsty.... the owners. They are so friendly and helpful.

I bought a gas mask on their ebay shop for an event at my child's school. Nothing came and my child's evacuee day passed. It turned out that the sellers were on holiday but had not raised this matter on ebay. I replied that as the item was no longer required and that as they had misled me about the delivery time, I wanted a refund. Instead, they ignored the message, posted the item and kept the money. Very dishonest.

Wonderful store with a beautiful range of antiques for sale. There is something for every size of budget, with beautiful and quirky items for your home, but also some items which would make amazing Christmas, or wedding gifts. The jewellery range is my personal favourite followed closely by some stunning art. This is an antique store which makes you feel like you have stepped into a magical world from the past and the owners are warm and welcoming. I bought some wonderful vintage brooches and have my eye of a couple more items for the future! Highly recommended for a visit.

We have just had a house clearance carried out by Jason & Kirsty. We do not live locally so most correspondence was by telephone or email. Everything went like clockwork. They did exactly as they said they would and in the timescale given, sending a video and photographs of the completed work. They were so helpful and accommodating and even dusted & vacumed when finished. Very professional and would recommend without hesitation. 5 star service all round!!

A great new addition to Castle Douglas with your new shop. Lots of very interesting items to tempt the discerning buyer.Please don't miss the Gallery upstairs. Currently the artist Gerard Burns has an excellent exhibition of the most wonderful oil paintings. The brush work and the exquisite skin tones have to be seen to be believed, it all took my breath away. Good luck with your future exhibitions.
