Nice and peaceful, Cramond waterfall is also really calming, a great place to go if you're stressed and need to unwind

Usually stroll down here starting from the cramond island opening. There is a lot of parking near cramond island up near the public toilets accessed from cramond road North onto cramond glebe road. From here you can start your walk where all the boats sit, admire the buildings on the riverside and an Icecream truck in summer months.Walk through the forest area down the river and you’ll see swans, ducks and other sea life if you’re lucky. Continue to walk along the river and you’ll find yourself at ruins and a waterfall. Lots of Benches spots along the way If you get tired or want a sit down. It’s quite a nice peaceful walk, there is no lights along this pathway so beware if you are there quite late to bring a torch.

A weird one, huge steep steps in a few spaces.Very pretty and relaxing. We walked along this area with our son in his all terrain pram. There are a lot of steps to get up and down, they were so steep we couldn’t get up and down them so went around onto the main road and back down again. You can access the waterfall ok, but not the rest of the walk.

This is one walk I never get tired off, there is always something different to see and there are plenty benches to just sit and take in your surroundings.

River Almond Walkway
A great short walk from Cramond of a way to connect with the shore trail that leads on to Queensferry for a longer 2.5 to 3 hour walk. This short walk has a lot of variety with boats, a waterfall, old ruins and a small field with ponies and chickens near the Cramond Brig. It is in a small valley so be prepared for it to feel colder and more shaded especially in the winter months when the sun is lower in the sky. Particularly beautiful in the autumn - October/November time.If you are connecting to the shore walk, look out for signs turning back to the coast from the narrow road that goes behind the Miller & Carter Cramond Brig. Once you are on the path is it easy to follow. For more details go to this site: https://roseberyestates.co.uk/dalmeny-house/the-shore-walk

What a lovely walk along the River we had on Sunday, First stopped off for coffee and cake at the harbour front bistro then off for a stroll along the Almond river walkway. There's plenty of information signs informing you about the history in the area connected to the river , Also information about the wildlife mainly birds.

A lovely short walk (about 3km) from Cramond Brig (bridge) to Cramond promenade.Very quiet during the walk, mostly dog walkers, but can be busier at the weekendFull of birds (duck, swans, heron and kingfisher just today)Beware this walk isn't accessible friendly. There are steps to go over a rock formation (about 75, see photo) + another wee steps later (about 15 steps), the rest is fine however
