I’ve been visiting Iain for haircuts for close on 10 years. Even moving 20 miles away I still return time after time.There are so many “barbers” who hack you and you leave the shop feeling assaulted. None of that here!!!Iain is a proper barber and his wet shave will be the best of your entire life.When busy it’s been great to have a coffee and chat and debate with other patrons. Hopefully the full services will return one day soon.

Just simply the best Pre-Shave oil, and Balm.Great moisturising before and after. No artifical additives.These are products developed and delivered by a 'shaver'... Not some scientist in a lab. And it shows.Cooling balm in the summer... Moisturising balm in the summer.If you use the shaving oil WITH a soap/cream it gives the smoothest, best, shave ever.

Village Barber shaving oil gives a really good shave, smooth and with a pleasant aroma. Following up with their aftershave balm moisturises, nourish and protect my skin. I agree with their slogan, seriously good shaving.I see they have also won awards for these shaving products again this year - well done the Village Barber!

I regularly visit the Village Barber for a hair cut and a wet shave/beard trim. Iain is very welcoming and on arrival offers a coffee and a chat. When you leave feeling relaxed and refreshed you know you have come to the right place. Iain is very attentive with his work and you can tell he takes pride in what he does! I also use the the beard oil from the Village Barber range of products and after having suffered with dry skin and soreness previously around my chin(even after trying the big brands) the Village Barber oil worked a treat after only 3 days! i use it every day now and its great.. Would definitely recommend

I first visited here with my son Joseph a couple of months ago. He is registered blind and has some disabilities following a stroke last year . We have tried loads of barbers with varying success and discovered Iain by chance. What a game changer ! Joseph loves that the shop has a very calm atmosphere and this makes him feel very safe. The attention to detail is great and covers everything from the fabulous hot towels to the very rigorous covid safety considerations. Joseph also loves the unique facial products which Iain had developed. A barber for life ! Next appointment already made !
