The team at RRA gave us clear drawings and direction allowing us to deliver a superb scheme efficiently. RRA came to site and listened to our ideas and offered suggestions and ideas, which we found very helpful and caused us to re-evaluate and improve the plans. Mark and the RRA team did an excellent job identifying interesting and useful renovation opportunities for our property. They listened to our requirements and then added their own ideas and recommended approaches. The team provided clear advice and guidance, ensuring the project received planning permission. Importantly where inevitable additional planning activities were required they quickly dealt with them to get a successful outcome.

RRA architects (Mark Powles) were part of this ambitious restoration project from just after the outset. He prepared the plans (based on historic records for the heritage aspects and creative thinking for the hard and soft landscaping), the tendering documents and applications for permissions, and managed the contractors. The project came in within budget, achieved the heritage restoration and landscaping objectives and was finished much sooner than had first seemed possible. Mark worked successfully with the complications of a partnership made up of a local charity (Friends of Pittville) and Cheltenham Borough Council. He was able to rework plans flexibly to fit with grant application successes so that the original 2-phase project was finished earlier than had been anticipated. Mark was very much part of the successful team.

We would whole heartedly recommend RRA having just completed an extension with them. Their designs included features which have become favourites in our finished kitchen. It could have been a fairly 'predictable' extension but because of their ideas we have something which, we think, is pretty special and a bit 'different'.We enjoyed working with Mark and Oliver who, throughout the process, were very patient, and they worked brilliantly with our builders to make sure things went as smoothly as possible.

Ross-on-Wye Town Council has been so pleased with the works carried out by Lucia at RRA on the Market House in town. The Architect's professionalism, pragmatism and can do- attitude has ensured we have stayed on track the whole time. The meetings were well organised and managed and the minutes were always circulated quickly afterwards giving a high degree of confidence to the Councillors. The process has been painless due to their diligence and efforts and it is very satisfying me for professionally to have been involved in, what for Ross was such a high profile project.

We commissioned RRA to design an extension to our Cotswold home. Dating from around 1650 the property was of traditional construction with Cotswold stone walls and stone-tiled roofs. Much of the property had good proportions, but the kitchen was small and crowded with units . Worse still, a small, single window barely revealed a fabulous view across the valley toward the sunsets in the west. RRA came out to assess the site and then produced multiple initial drawings. We went with their most ambitious project, which saw the existing utility demolished and a new wrap-around extension enveloping the existing kitchen and incorporating a new utility room off a vastly enlarged new kitchen area.A narrow roof angle posed waterproofing challenges, solved by the specification of a TECU copper roof. Rooflights at the high point and 5m of bifold doors maximised internal light and made the most of the valley views. We were delighted with RRA's services, steering us through design iterations and planning, then aiding in finding a high-quality contractor, Precision Builders of Gloucester, who were able to make an early start. It was not a straightforward project, with multiple existing floor levels to accommodate. The result has transformed the property and brought us a great new living space that has increased the footprint of the property by 40% taking full advantage of the plot and location. It looks fantastic from inside and out and has given us the home and lifestyle we always dreamed of. Huge thanks to Tom and Rebecca at RRA for creating such a great design!

A huge thank you to Mark and all the team at RRA. They helped us deliver even more than we hoped for as part of our recent renovation. The plan was to achieve a greater feeling of light and space in the re-modelling of the rear of our house without actually adding to the footprint of the building.
