Barnet Civic Amenity Site

Very impressed!! This place is very organised, and even more surprising is you have permanent staff to give you instructions where you have to trow away your recycling stuff, quite frankly this is very helpful to do a quick and proper job, also make sure you made a booking online (24h before) before to go, otherwise you will not be able to get in, even if they don't have much people, depends of busy time hours you will need to do a bit of queue, because there are not many gaps to parking so try to go earlier as possible to avoid any inconvenience, However one of the best recycling centre I've visited

I have used many recycling centers over the years but can honestly say that the Staff at this one are fantastic. Happy, Friendly and above all helpful.Clearing out an old Garage, I had to make 3 trips, dealt with different staff through the day and I rate them all equally high.I was helped with heavy and cumbersome items without needing to ask.The site is well laid out, as clean as possible given its purpose and the focus, quite rightly, is on recycling.I have nothing negative to say. It could be open for longer but my visit was at the end of November and the light was already going. The site closes at 4PM sharp so stops people entering at 3:50pm (and earlier at busy periods like weekends).

A well managed civic amenity which is free to use as long as you bring your domestic items in a normal car. No trailers or vans are allowed so check if in doubt about the rules.

Awful dodgy unreliable ripoff. They told me they'd give me £100 for two cars. Didn't turn up the first two times then eventually turned up and lied through their teeth about the condition of the cars and tried to take them for nothing like they were doing me a favour, then offered £20 but we eventually got £60 out of them.. eventually!!! So so dodgy definitely wouldn't recommend. They also told us they were based in Epsom (near me) then said they had come from Hounslow and wanted money for the diesel it took to get here!!! Unbelievable.

Absolutely horrid lady on phone. When I booked I told her it was my friends commercial van when she asked for a registration no. When my friends took my things with all the proof required she refused him entry. Then blatently lied when I called to ask why by saying that she told me I couldn't use a commercial van. Why did you give me a reservation you stupid lying woman. The phone calls are conveniently not recorded!!! Disgusting racist stupid lady.

Guys there are very helpful

Even though you have to book at the moment, it's really not a problem. Seems to be plenty of spaces to be had. The staff can't help you like they normally would, but are happy to guide you to where stuff goes if you're not sure. Also booking gives you more space to sort yourself out.

Not sure why anyone would want to read (or write) a review for the local dump, but here we are! It smells, there's lots of rubbish around. The staff are pleasant enough. The general public are, as usual, complete bell ends.
