Lesley Whelan

I am absolutely delighted with the piece which Lesley has created for me. The process which Lesley adopts before she commences any commission is to really understand what the client wants and checks in with the client throughout the process. This piece was commissioned for very personal reasons and it now has pride of place in our home. I have known Lesley for more than a decade, having originally met her whilst I was working in the hospice sector. I have followed her over that time and it is a joy to be able to commission something so personal. Thank you Lesley!

We’re big fans of Lesley’s modern art of flowers and all things botanical. Lesley is a wonderful artist and a very warm person. It was really lovely to work with her on our commissioned painting, which was a surprise present for our artistic daughter. Lesley carefully listened to what we were looking for in the painting and came up with a few ideas in a sketchbook. She explained the meanings of her choice of flowers for our daughter and the hardest part was to choose which of her designs we liked best. Lesley’s final work is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous vibrant colours - just what we were looking for. Our daughter loves it - it was a perfect gift for her. I’d highly recommend Lesley to anyone who likes modern art.

Just collected my finished art work from Lesley. It’s the fist time I’ve commissioned art, but Lesley was wonderful to work with. She spent time finding out about my life and what the painting needed to represent. She is a wonderful artist and created a piece that will always remind me of Coventry and my time at Carers Trust. It has exceeded my expectations and I can’t wait to see it hung.
