Second year doing adult course in this place, and will not be the last for sure. One of the largest further and higher education colleges in Bristol. Based in four main centres in Bristol, offers courses from entry to degree levels, with adult learners, apprentices, higher education and international students.Nice facilities, good culture, adequate teaching quality and never uncomfortable.

I was appalled by the rudeness of the receptionist. I called to ask informations about an appointment. While speaking with them, I had to ask to repeat time self once again, so she scoffed and repeated with a raises voice, then I thanked her even if they didn’t deserved it and they just hang up without saying a word. Is it ok to be treated like this.

So far as a first year I like the atmosphere. Lots of great staff and the students seem fine. Everyone seems here to eager to learn and have a good future so you have lots of motivation from the other students and teachers!

Someone in this college is planning on killing wildlife. Whoever this person" is they should step down. An abominable decision to make. Zero reason to destroy wildlife. Especially in the middle of the current biodiversity crisis. Please step down and let adults be in charge

Did professional cookery here for 3 years, made some good friends. Ryan and Desmond are the best front and back of house teachers I’ve ever had they are tough but good to have a laugh with. Dinner nights on a Thursday night were the best to meet with the other half of our group and to serve customers. Would definitely recommend this college

COBC College green: a rollercoaster of quality. This establishment is placed in the centre of Bristol near many landmarks, making it easy to find and has many places to go after your scheduled lessons, this ranges from the diverse multicultural food scene that Bristol is renowned for, to the free to enter museums (Bristol museum, the m shed) that display the proud history of Bristol and major archaeological finds. It is also near the library which has a nice welcoming atmosphere, which is more than I can say for the college. As you approach the building, you will be greeted by a hoard of vaping students blocking the entrance. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but they blatantly ignore the no smoking signs in place outside, and I don't see why vaping should be given this special exemption to the rules as most of these children shouldn't be able to obtain them in the first place and by allowing this, the college is fostering an environment in which they might see vaping as the norm and won't try to stop before addiction to it becomes widespread. As you enter, you will see that you need an entry card/pass to enter as an added security measure to the teacher on guard, the receptionist can replace your card if it breaks, beware that it will cost you ~£10 at time of writing however replacement lanyards and ID holders are free of charge, just like the course I am doing as an under 18 (as of writing)the course I am taking is the cache early years lvl 3 qualification and the staff on the course, for the most part, are outstanding with only minor issues throughout the year with SEN support varying on the teacher as the college its self hasn't been clear on what they offer, and some teachers have been downright unhelpful. Timetables and scheduling were a mess and constantly changed throughout the year with very little prior notice, and some days the teacher wouldn't turn up and only notify us 10 minutes before the lesson despite knowing that the majority of us took over an hour to bus in.in summary, if you have no additional needs, this place will most likely be perfect for you as long as you are doing a-level or health and social care, pretty much all other courses are placed at the other sites. Other than that, COBC has its ups and downs as most places do, but if I had the chance to go back and choose somewhere else, i most likely would.
