JCH Flooring Limited

Hi, I needed flooring done in my new house and I have posted the job on my builder, which was picked up 3 or 4 contractors, Holt was one of them, he presented professionally and quoted me nearly 750 GBP for the work. By looks of it, I made a gentlemen agreement and gave him the job. At first he told me it would take 2 days, but once the job started he picked up other works meanwhile which delayed my work by 4 days. At last when i have told him that I would hire some one else to finish the job he came and finished the work very abruptly. then he handed me invoice for 1400 GBP and when i tried to confront, he started threatening me that I would hear from his solicitors for GOD KNOWS WHAT !. I have told him that the work is not finished as we have discussed the skirtings has been damaged. after a long conversation we both agreed that he would come again to fix the issues, and I made the full invoice payment. Now he stop responding and doesn't even acknowledge. Only request to all of you, if you comes in contact with him make sure every thing you get in writing before you proceed ahead to avoid any hidden charges and check every single detail. I wish if some one could help me here.
